5) You are a shop owner, and have registered a Monero address with the IRS as your official retailer address. You use this address for receiving payments from all of your customers. At the end of the year, the tax man uses the view key you provided them with to check how much you received, so that you pay the appropriate taxes....

Good stuff, but seriously, the IRS using your viewkey? The IRS forms are ancient, they have nothing for that sort of thing, so how will that ever work in this day and age? I understand it and agree, but I don't see the IRS actually giving any shits about that kind of thing. It's hard enough to claim BTC on tax forms, let alone any other crypto!  Roll Eyes

Monero is doing pretty well. Great to see ongoing developement.

Monero is so undervalued it's crazy. I'd still buy more if I could. Tongue

The privacy issue is all bullshit anyway -
You have to convert your crypto to fiat to consume.

Short sighted.  Roll Eyes

Short sighted from most perspectives but if your 90 then it may be a good time to enjoy you profits. Lol, just saying. Smiley

548 new romeros in 24h.  http://redditmetrics.com/r/Monero

Not sure what was it in the february 2015 (previous ath), but other than that, other ath was in august 2016, when monero hit first big wave of exposure after being added to DNM.

Hello. Just had a strange issue with the monero gui wallet. Tried to send the transaction, but wallet crashed when making it. When i tried again after restarting i had error message that there was a double spend and I was not able to send the coins again, but balance was still there. now I have tried rescan spent and the coins are gone. Was that to propagate the transaction again and the coins will be sent now again right? Just to be sure. Its quite a chunk of money and made me quite uneasy.

Really looking forward to time when there is smoothly working Monero wallet.

Thanks for help

XMR took me totally surprisingly this time as there were not lot of news and then suddenly Koren updated about listing there and boom. It was same pattern like few months ago when dark community announced and Monero went trough the roof without letting others even get on the board in time.

Your wallet probably managed to broadcast the transaction onto the network before crashing. I would wait a couple of hours, then re-scan the blockchain to make sure the transaction went as planned. As a rule, never resend unless you've confirmed (preferably on a different instance of the wallet) the initial attempt didn't go through.

Thank you. I was sending to Poloniex two hours ago and nothing is showing on any end. I don't understand why I can't see the transaction in the gui wallet in history or anywhere to be able to check whether it was sent or not at all...very confusing.

The transaction not showing at Poloniex may not mean anything now because they have been under much heavier traffic than they were prepared for. I would wait a bit more on an update from them.

On your end though, the outgoing transactions are being logged locally by the wallet software. Since it crashed right after sending, it might not have managed to do it. I'm not using the graphical wallet software, but on the command line one I would issue the command "rescan_bc" and wait. Perhaps someone familiar with the GUI wallet can provide the equivalent.

How long has it been since you tried to send?
Did you send to an integrated address? (how many characters did the address have?)

Where I can find the Monero's wallet for a 32bit computer? I know that there is only the command line of the wallet for a 32 bit computer, I hope that I'm wrong.

The GUI wallet crashing like that seems like a serious problem that definitely must be fixed. Could you please provide more details (e.g. which operating system, the version of the GUI wallet, etc)? Also, can you reproduce the crash? It would be perfect if you could open an issue on the GitHub repo (https://github.com/monero-project/monero-core/issues) with detailed information (and maybe a screenshot or two).
