Ive sorted out my wallet problems, but boy this wallet takes ages to sync!

Is there any way to speed it up?

im on fibre. I heard the chain is about 20GB?

Ive had the daemon running for two days now says its synced 689596 and i still have to get to block 1299530!

I cant sweep the dust until this has synced.

I can sync it in a day or so with an SSD. If you're using spinning disks, expect a few days I guess, sorry.... Sad

I wouldnt think an SSD would really make any difference, its the internet connection at the end of the day that determines how fast the chain can be downloaded.

Mine is 15gb, 12gb after compression.  I would offer a copy, but it would take longer than that (i.e. your fibre sync) to upload to an s3 bucket over my (WiFi and docsis 3 cable modem) Time Warner residential internet. (Kids these days!)

*Note to self: Check Fios local availability again on Monday.*

No. There is a lot of processing of the chain by the client apart from download so read/write speed of the hdd has a marked impact

I downloaded the latest c.0.10.3.1 client. Finally the blockchain is not stuck at block 1288639 anymore. Smiley

But I still get a ton of COMMAND_HANDSHAKE Failed messages. Is there any way to speed up Daemon syncing?

Could you try the sweep_all command?

I have since ran a sweep_all command, and it asked for an address, so i provided it with mine.

I assume this was correct?

It looked like it went through OK, but i have the feeling some coins are still unmixable.

sweep_all should empty the entire balance of your wallet to the address you send it to (which in your case, should be your own).

if the transaction went through there will be nothing left unmixable.

OK i was reaing that you could do 0 mixin to speed up.
Anyway, with mixin 3 i get:

Error: not enough outputs for specified mixin_count = 3:
output amount = 0.004269227661, found outputs to mix = 1
output amount = 0.002961879501, found outputs to mix = 1
output amount = 0.002852539795, found outputs to mix = 1
output amount = 0.004356796150, found outputs to mix = 1

Im sure its a dust issue.

Sweep_unmixable gives me this error:

mixin too low.

If i do a sweep_all to a different address, i get the same error output amount = *.*********, found outputs to mix =1 error like above scrolling down the page.

I managed to send 2 XMR to poloniex in a few broken down transactions, but i cant send the rest. any ideas?Huh?

You have some unmixable dust.  You can send all but that dust.  How much do you intend to sell... perhaps I will buy it.
