You have some unmixable dust.  You can send all but that dust.  How much do you intend to sell... perhaps I will buy it.

Ive only got about 2.9 XMR left in the wallet.

Problem is how on earth do you spend it?
Only way to send it is if i send someone the wallet.

Your welcome to it if you want.

Sweep_unmixable gives me this error:

mixin too low.

This should not happen, is a bug, and should be reported in github if it hasn't been already.

It is supposed to be possible to send pre-existing unmixable outputs with mixin 0. Therefore no mixin would be 'too low'. It can't be guaranteed that you have enough value in the wallet to pay the necessary fees. That's a different issue though, and should not result in the above error. Again, please report the bug.

Report here: https://github.com/monero-project/monero/issues

Click "New issue" and as completely and accurately as possible describe what is going on. Do not include any private information as those issues are public.

Sounds like you found a bug!  Which is cool, thanks. Wink  See if you can get it worked out and then you can sell the XMR one way or another.

Quick Guide to Creating a View Only Wallet & Signing Transactions from Cold Storage in monero-wallet-gui:

Initial Setup

1. (Offline Computer) Start monero-wallet-gui and create a new wallet. Next, go to Settings and click "Create view only wallet" in the "Manage Wallet" menu.

2. (Offline Computer) Copy the view only wallet files to a USB or other storage medium so you can transfer them to your online computer.

3. (Online Computer) Start monero-wallet-gui and select "Open wallet from a file". Select the .keys file for your view only wallet. Let the wallet synchronize.

Making a Transaction

1. (Online Computer) Prepare a transaction in "Send" as you would normally. When the transaction is ready, click the "Show advanced options" checkbox and then click the button "create tx file". Copy the tx file to your USB.

2. (Offline Computer) Open your cold wallet. In the "Send" panel, click "Sign tx file", and select the file that you copied from your USB.

3. (Offline Computer) "Sign tx file" creates two files. One is the signed transaction, the other is your key images. Copy both to the USB and take it over to your online computer.

4. (Online Computer) Now in "Send", click "Submit tx file". Select the signed tx file you copied from the USB. Make sure the keyImages file is also the same directory as the signed tx file.

5. (Online Computer) Your transaction is broadcast and the view-only wallet shows your correct balance. Wow!

Quick Guide to Creating a View Only Wallet & Signing Transactions from Cold Storage in monero-wallet-gui:

Thanks saddam, I am definitely going to give this a try. It always feels quite unsafe to have the funded wallet on my online computer.
I finally should start using the GUI..

Maybe to avoid any confusion when it becomes a guide on getmonero.org. Bullet 1 of the initial setup could be extended to:

1. (Offline Computer) Start monero-wallet-gui, create a new wallet and get it funded.
Next, go to Settings and click "Create view only wallet" in the "Manage Wallet" menu.

(alternatively: Restore funded wallet from keys or mnemonic seed)

- You can figure out what will happen, not when /Warren Buffett
- Pay any Bitcoin address privately with a little help of Monero.

Slightly of topic.

I made some stupid technical questions of ETC and ETH in Ethereum thread. No one has answered yet.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=428589.msg18897755#msg18897755

If XMR guys in this thread know something of them go on there. But answer there not in this thread.

XMR is a completely different code base go ask in where eth was forked from if they won't help you.

Can anyone explain me why Monero is still beneath Ethereum, Ripple and Litecoin?
This just doesn't make sense to me...

Not shilling here. I got rid of my bags after the AB pump and never re-bought...
Project is just a top 3 in my eyes and not understanding why public doesn't agree.

This is probably better suited to the Monero Speculation thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=753252.0

No, that is a legitimate question of adoption. And I don't have an answer to that. I've always felt there is an unknown here though even after all these years I still feel in the dark.

Speculation thread... But every thread is a speculation thread.
Arguably, reality is all speculation. There's only one absolute; I think, therefore I am.

I honestly think its because more people hodl XMR than any other coin. Its sort of a "bad currency out performs good" thing. If you study the blockchain, you see a lot of mixin 2 outputs. These are almost 99% guaranteed to be poloniex withdraws, probably going to cold wallets or otherwise personal wallets. Or pool payouts, but you can identify these by their size and cluster.. i.e., pool payouts are larger in size. So if all mixin two transactions are withdraws from poloniex, anything greater than 2 are other transactions... transactions going to poloniex or between users. Assumedly, there's little actual use for Monero outside of speculation, so we can assume that anything greater than 2 is going to poloniex.

basically, there might not be enough concentration of wealth in monero to allow for market manipulations at the level of ethereum, lightcoin, or whatever the hell is skyrocketing these days.

Trying to send some XMR. Using same command line as always and it is not working. Using v0.10.3.1

Transfer 4 <address> 8.55

Error: not enough outputs for specified mixin_count 4. Do I need to increase the 4? I have tried lower with a fail. Did not try 0.

EDIT: 6 did not work. 20 did not work. I'm confused.

And it's an integrated address I'm sending to
