Which rights do your tokens provide its holders with?

The right to transact privately, as you choose.  Did you require more?

Trolls getting thick on the ground again... building pressure...

And let's not argue why PoS is a security nightmare.

Whaaat? This is news to me. I would very much like to argue about this.

I don't mind a debate. I was only trying to avoid sparking further off-topic discussion from my already off-topic post.

Even if proof of stake could work, I'd still question the incentives of anyone who insists on using it in their project. It's essentially a system where the rich become richer with zero risk or opportunity cost. Sounds productive. What a coincidence all the scams in the space are falling all over themselves to support it.

As far as the technical challenges with proof of stake, these papers are pretty enlightening:
https://download.wpsoftware.net/bitcoin/pos.pdf
http://bitfury.com/content/5-white-papers-research/pos-vs-pow-1.0.2.pdf

Thanks for those I never had checked into POS security as like you said most POS coins are scams or not viable (as in NXT distribution).

Which rights do your tokens provide its holders with?

The right to financial freedom, why do you need more for your money?

Sweet once this ball started rolling it has to be the fasted goal yet, we might have to lose the tag soon on this one!

StringCT is about ring signatures for referenced inputs, which is a different part of the Monero transaction than the ring signatures used in range proofs. Therefore bulletproofs can be used in Monero whether we stick with RingCT or upgrade to StringCT. By my calculations, bulletproofs will save a minimum of 2 * (6176 - (2 * log_2(52)+9) * 2 * 32) = 8588 bytes per Monero transaction. That's a pretty big deal, given that typical Monero transactions are currently about 13500 bytes in size.

It'd actually result in a much larger reduction than 8588 bytes because range proofs can be aggregated, but I've not yet figured out how to calculate it, since the paper says "O(log m) group elements" (Monero's group elements are 32 bytes each) and I've not read to the end of the paper yet to see if it gets more specific than that.

What kind of gains would we see ontop of that with the pruneing you have been working on? BTW, how is that going? I just don't have time to keep up anymore and even when I try I forget it anyway! Cheesy

BTW just to temper expectations:

Everyone should be aware (as u/ArticMine noted in a reply) that papers (unclear whether this one is even peer reviewed) and research directions very often do not pan out or otherwise turn out not to be practical for implementation. There is promise here and it is definitely being looked at but it is at a very early stage. It would be a very much a mistake to start beating the drums on "1 KB transactions tomorrow!" just yet.

Last time I tried to send from monerujo wallet, it didn't recognize the integrated address.
Not being able to send to integrated addresses is almost a deal killer, for me.  Sometimes you have no other option but to use an integrated address; some exchanges only provide integrated addresses for deposits, for example.
Is there a way to take an integrated address and break it down into an ordinary address and payment ID?

If you have BTC then Monero is right now perfect fr you to buy. When highest was over 0.03 now is closer to 0.01 so 3 times cheaper.  You seems to had not missed anything since now and maybe few weeks more you will have best chance to still get cheap Moneroj.  But what may happen is this might be the last chance.

Monero’s Multisignature Implementation Officially Enters Testing Phase

In the world of cryptocurrencies, it is somewhat surprising to see so few currencies benefiting from multisignature technology. Bitcoin has had this feature for as long as most people can remember. In the case of Monero, however, the developers had to start from scratch due to the very different infrastructure they are working with. This explains why this solution has been in development for so long. There is still no official mainnet release date at this time, though, as there is still a lot of work to be done in this regard.

To put things into perspective, some changes have been made to the Github repo for Monero’s multisig development. Until two days ago, they had the “DO NOT MERGE” tag associated with them. That indicated the developers were far from having a working product. All of a sudden, however, this tag was removed, which seems to indicate a lot of progress has been made. Moreover, Moneromoo – the person responsible for the multisig implementation – has asked the community on IRC to test and review this implementation in the near future.........

You can split an integrated address into standard address + 16-char payment ID using the "Check Address" tool in https://xmr.llcoins.net/addresstests.html.

You can put this 16-char payment ID into the "Payment ID" field of the transfer screen of Monerujo. I haven't tested it since I don't own any Android device, but I believe it should work. Test it first with some tiny amount.
