If I am triple mining on local p2pool with 0.6 Mh/s am I wasting my time? My VTC payments are normal, around 3 VTC per day, but I only received 25 MON in the last 3 days and I've just added the settings for triple mining today, so no para yet.
I want to support p2pool mining, but would I even find a block of MON or parallax with this hash rate?
Yes you'll find blocks, they'll just be a long time coming. 25 MON seems pretty good so far with your hashrate. Thanks, and also to bengtåke. I'll keep mining on my local p2pool as I feel it is better for the coin. As long as I'm not losing out, I can wait.

We've had a pretty unlucky run over the last 24h - check it out for yourself http://simplevert.com/blocksI ran the numbers last night and it looked like this 24 hour luck avg - 140% work completed of expected (40% less lucky than average during this time period) 48 hour luck avg - 100% luck for 24 hours simplevert.com has 54 found Block - 872.6 MH/s - 1200 worker for 24 hours vertco.in has 91 found Block - 838.80MH/s - 1100 worker I am at a loss to you guys /simplevert/, even MON not be able to cover my losses Or I still think that you have hidden mining blocks from people How else pay 10% bonus, then 5% and now 2.5% bonus I've learned that in life nothing is for free, so most likely you steal from us to give us a small percentage bonus I'm sick of incorrect pools Ive been mining at simplevert for 84hrs with 6.3Mhs while donating the standard 1%, ive earned 86VTC, which means im only behind by 5VTC on the average. I dont "think" they are hiding anything. Those bonuses you are talking about are only for MON and they told us how they are able to offer them and why they have been reduced. Or maybe they are taking more fees than you can see. They are a for profit business after all. There are issues with the proxypool payout script. You should be able to track your "earned" MON, its just not paying out correctly.

I am the owner. There was few payouts, but you was not squeezed in by payout script. You should get paid as soon as we have a block. Now I am trying to figure out what shares has been already paid and which was not. Should be resolved until tomorrow.

I am updating the https://github.com/Paul-Bradley/EasyNode repo to include an OVA (Open Virtualisation Format) version of the triple-merge-mining "p2pool node in a box" VM image, so it's easier to import into other virtualisation software. Uploading now and should be available in an hour or so.

I updated the README to link to a port-forwarding HOWTO, since if anything is broken I suspect it's going to be that the port forwarding (in virtualbox) which I had configured doesn't go with the VM but is a local setting on the host, in which case you'll need (at minimum) to forward the relevant port (9171 by default on p2pool network 1) from host to guest. Check out the updated README on the git repo. While you're forwarding ports, please please do this:

Unfortunately had to give up on soun.se (176.10.212.237). It's not a huge node - 7 MH/s, but unpaid VTC and MON balances keep going higher and higher and there's been no reply from the node operator. I'm not uptight about every share being immediately paid, but at my lower hashrate, this unpaid balance is significant:

Yesss! That will be an extremely easy solution for people to get started with mining all 3 coins! I assume since it's a VM, a decent amount of memory (RAM) will be required.
I have set it to allocate 1GB of physical RAM by default, it also has a 1GB pagefile inside the VM. That should be sufficient I would think, but if you have a lot of RAM raising the physical allocation to 2GB might result in better performance. It's also worth mentioning that for best performance, if you have plenty of spare SSD space it might be best to unzip the virtualbox files to an SSD partition, but I doubt it would make enough difference to be worth doing that if space was at a premium. I had to up my ubuntu image to 2 GB of RAM. For some reason p2pool just stopped working one day after a few hours, like it quit for no reason and without any codes. After I up'd my RAM I haven't had that issue and its been running for days.. 1.5 GB might be good too.

@perezoso unpaid ballance is bug from payout script which did not properly handled shares. Node operators hve to update their scripts from github and then sort out what ppl should get and what they get and trim their database ... Doing it now for my node and let me tell you, it is one hell of a mess xD

Is there a monocle p2pool network (not a vertcoin/execoin p2pool that is solo mining monocle on top of the pool coin)? I'd like to add a mon node...
Yes, there is, I run one at mon.coinpools.de:26888Feel free to use it or to connect your own node. But understand that this is more experimental than useful for mining as you "throw away" your possible VTC earnings when directing your miner to a MON only pool. To run your own node use this code in networks.py: monocle=math.Object( PARENT=networks.nets['monocle'], SHARE_PERIOD=15, # seconds CHAIN_LENGTH=24*60*60//10, # shares REAL_CHAIN_LENGTH=24*60*60//10, # shares TARGET_LOOKBEHIND=200, # shares SPREAD=12, # blocks IDENTIFIER='a06a81c827cababc'.decode('hex'), PREFIX='7c3614a6bcdcfabc'.decode('hex'), P2P_PORT=26889, MIN_TARGET=4, MAX_TARGET=2**256//2**20 - 1, PERSIST=False, WORKER_PORT=26888, BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS='mon.coinpools.de'.split(' '), ANNOUNCE_CHANNEL='#p2pool-vtc', VERSION_CHECK=lambda v: True, ),
and in bitcoin/networks.py: monocle=math.Object( P2P_PREFIX='e1d7fcef'.decode('hex'), P2P_PORT=6889, ADDRESS_VERSION=50, RPC_PORT=6888, RPC_CHECK=defer.inlineCallbacks(lambda bitcoind: defer.returnValue( 'monocleaddress' in (yield bitcoind.rpc_help()) and not (yield bitcoind.rpc_getinfo())['testnet'] )), SUBSIDY_FUNC=lambda height: 25*100000000, #>> (height + 1)//840000, POW_FUNC=lambda data: pack.IntType(256).unpack(__import__('vtc_scrypt').getPoWHash(data)), BLOCK_PERIOD=120, # s SYMBOL='MON', CONF_FILE_FUNC=lambda: os.path.join(os.path.join(os.environ['APPDATA'], 'Monocle') if platform.system() == 'Windows' else os.path.expanduser('~/Library/Application Support/Monocle/') if platform.system() == 'Darwin' else os.path.expanduser('~/.monocle'), 'monocle.conf'), BLOCK_EXPLORER_URL_PREFIX='http://monexplorer.vertcoin.org/block/', ADDRESS_EXPLORER_URL_PREFIX='http://monexplorer.vertcoin.org/address/', TX_EXPLORER_URL_PREFIX='http://monexplorer.vertcoin.org/tx/', SANE_TARGET_RANGE=(2**256//1000000000 - 1, 2**256//1000 - 1), DUMB_SCRYPT_DIFF=2**16, DUST_THRESHOLD=0.03e8, ),

I can confirm the P2Pool Payout Script is fixed now! I kept track over the Miners Payouts on my node over the last 12 Hours and everything looking very good now. All Backlogs are cleared and Payouts for MON and VTC get processed regularly. See for yourselves: http://mon.qemulab.com/Look up some of the Miner Stats and you will see their Backlogs of Payments are tiny. I will completely drop the Fees on the Pool for ONE Week. Auto Payouts are set to 0.2 VTC and 0.4 MON. Give it a try!

http://www.p2proxy.netA big portion of the sharelog has been cleared. Many of the shares removed have been paid more than one time due to a bug in the payout system that wasn't removing shares after they had been paid. That's the reason the backlog was almost 4 million shares. I'm sure a lot of you noticed that you had astronomical balances, that is the reason. It was just constantly adding to your balance rather than decreasing it when paid.
I will need to sort through what was paid and what wasn't, and pay out manually. So payouts are going to stop for a while.
With this the site will be shutting down, once I finish the manual payouts with what mature coins are available now, payouts will stop for a while until all coins mature.. Then the pool will pay what it can of the remaining balances.
Site has been updated to support merged-mining of Monocle and Vertcoin.
I am from the start / 5-5-2014/ to you / www.p2proxy.net / , when will be paid my coins I have many coins there I hope I can trust you and I will not be tricked Yeah, it's just gonna take a while to sort out who gets what. 173 miners, limited coins. The pool won't be able to pay everyone their full balance they had before the log clearing, that would only be a handful of miners otherwise (one guy had 360 coins... and the total log was more than the pool makes in 2 days..). So there are gonna be a lot of frowns I'm sure. I'm going to give priority to people that were actually still mining on the pool. I never got any of the 30+ MON I was due. Are we just out entirely? Are you just stealing everyones coins?

There are MANY MANY posts saying that the BEST way to get the most coins possible is to run your own node. There's even a virtual box for it now, provided by the fine Spider himself. You hop around the different pools complaining that they haven't serviced you correctly. If you don't trust anybody, then DO IT YOURSELF.

Don't stress friend, I've been mining on a classic pool and I get around 3.8 MON per day slowly dribble into my account in 0.5 MON payouts. You get 25 MON per block found if you're solomining which for me, would be around once a week. My hashrate is about half yours. So in a pool, I get to see my MON dribble in with 0.5 pieces at farily regular intervals. You will on average, get 25 MON in one go. Ultimately, it may FEEL like you're waiting forever, but it's really just the same.
