My error rate is over 60%. I'm using bfgminer and one string miner (bitfury chips). Is it normal?
What kind of hashrate reports the pool?
If its near to your estimated hashrate then don't care about it

one last question why does Minera show me at  429 MH which i wish, when all im doing is 24 MH well there on west hash it shows me moving back up to 24 from 15  I know that's normal.

I  switched Pools right now west hash is at Scrypt    3333    12.6028 GH/s    0.1929 BTC/GH/Day 31% why the HW error may look high.

That's the usual Cgminer DmaxL bug with hashrate calculation, why do you use that miner software? I recommend using Bfgminer instead, but in the meantime if you can give me the output of this (pm me if you prefer) I could find the problem: http://<IP>/minera/index.php/app/api?command=miner_stats

i tried  BFG at first it caped out around 18 MH, so i went to Cgminer DmaxL was hoping it would work, a long time ago if you remember me all the issue i had with anything but BFG 4.3.1 with my Zeus miners . but  want to use minera .  but with BFG 5.

well any way Cgminer DmaxL actually works now all but that Hashing in side minera and BFG still didn't but i got it working  BFG that is, so i am using BFG now but if  you want some help with fixing the hashrate calculation, I 'l be more then happy to help .

The fix for BFG 5.1 so far was the chip setting i had to set it  at 256  seems 128 won't work right for the thunder X6 and this version of BFG ,128 is the right setting  but i  read some place setting it to 256 works with some mining software  , it did .Now i wonder two months back if that was my issue all a long and even thought then i set it at 256 to find out. I'm going to PM the logs any way BFG is working on the site I'm mining on and holding a steady 18 to 28 MH  but minera shows diff even for BFG, but before a while back my hash all ways seemed to drop as minera did but now it seems that part works even if minera drops to low my hash on the mining sites seems to reflect the right hashes so far . so i m happy i can use minera with all the nice stuff with BFG or Cgminer DmaxL with out  fear of it  dropping any of my miners any more, i really don't care, how the hash shows in side minera as long as it keeps hashing the right speeds on the sites . it would be  nice to see it synced but it works great other wise.

Here is what the site shows atm and is usually right there or higher Smiley .

Taken from bfgminer readme.asics:
Code:
--set bifury:chips=15 --set bifury:free_after_job=no

don't know if it's that but you missed a "t" it's not "bifury" but "biTfury"
With "t" is worse. Those parameters are CTRL-C CTRL-V from bfgminer readme so I think those are correct.

What kind of hashrate reports the pool?
If its near to your estimated hashrate then don't care about it
Pool reports expected ~30GH, so I think i will follow your advise Wink But it bothered me why so high error rate, didn't see it with cgminer.

more info beyond the PM if it helps any .

those are the exact setting i used for cgdmaxlzeus i did not add anything to any of the command lines etc i used what minera gave me for setting in the  manual setup as i said in the PM i did try the guided set up same results as the post says . i was mostly asking is it OK to run like that with the  numbers off in Minera , sense the site is getting the expected hashrats and then some that i use , nice job with minera 5 its the best yet . and Yes BFG 5.1 seems to have some of the same issue with all  kinds of diff setting but seems to be holding it's own on the mining sites .  i can give a long list of BFG setting I  have tried, as for dmaxlzeus, I have never really used it to any extent to know what the list of setting for it are . i used what minera gave me as default setting they worked all but the numbers while hashing if that's fine till you can get a good handle on it i can live with it .but syncing it up will be nice . ) but not needed .

both cgdmaxlzeus and BFGMINER are very stable in MInera 5 over any other version of Minera to date .

HELP! Can't get the Rockminer New R-Box to work! It is recognized as ttyUSB0 but the hash rate is 0Kh/s. What do I do???

Can you give us some info, it's hard guess you problems without any info about them. We need at least: miner software used and command line you find in the settings page.

Well that's kind of the problem I have no idea what to look for.

I am running Minera on my Raspberry Pi. Everything is still at default except my password.

It is currently set to use CPUMiner with no preconfigured miner options.

As I said before my New R-Box is plugged in and appears to be detected as ttyUSB0 but the status is at grey and the hashrate is at 0.

It's most likely just a setting that I need to change I just don't know which one.

I hope this is what you where talking about:

                       --gc3355-detect --freq=838

I tried that it just says off-line

You need to setup it, you can't select a miner and start it.
So for Rockminer R-Box select Bfgminer as preferred miner, then select "Manual" and put in "Extra Options" this:

Code:
--scrypt -S rockminer:all

You could also use the "Guided" setup and turn on: "Enable scrypt algo" and "Enable device auto detection"

I recommend you turn on "Logging" too

This should work, but if you have problems, you MUST check the log in the dashboard and you'll find the problem.
Good luck.

I tried both of those things, when I switch it to bfgminer or cgminer and enter the script it just says the miner is offline and it says it can't find any connected devices

I think you have to build the Bfgminer 5.2.0 https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer/pull/603

Otherwise you can try with official Cgminer with the following options:

Code:
--au3-freq 238 --au3-volt 780

Get from this: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/33968/how-to-get-bitmain-u3-running-on-linux

Upgraded to 0.5

Did it from previous version via cd /var/www/minera  && sudo git fetch --all && sudo git reset --hard origin/master && sudo ./upgrade_minera.sh

As a result:

No way to choose altcoins at Top BAR Settings. As a result only spinning items on hashboard. Nothing else

How to return back to 0.4 ?

mmm that's weird but try this from a terminal window:

Code:
redis-cli del altcoins_update
redis-cli del altcoins_data
redis-cli del dashboard_coin_rates
redis-cli del cryptsy_data
redis-cli del cryptsy_update

then wait a couple of minutes the cron job does its task and retry the settings page

EDIT: sorry I had forgotten some values, now it should be ok

did it but nothing changed

To by quite frankly that ToP bar Settings was not also on my 0.4. But this did not effect dashboard.

Any way, is any option to return to 0.4?

Or it is better to install from new fresh image?

You can do this to rollback to 0.4.1, but that's not the solution:

Code:
git checkout 08e1e00e10201d44b7f4d8bcf2f24ad2d5784ff3

With the previous commands now you should have altcoins to be selected (you can repeat it just to be sure).

mmm that's weird but try this from a terminal window:

Code:
redis-cli del altcoins_update
redis-cli del altcoins_data
redis-cli del dashboard_coin_rates
redis-cli del cryptsy_data
redis-cli del cryptsy_update

then wait a couple of minutes the cron job does its task and retry the settings page

EDIT: sorry I had forgotten some values, now it should be ok

did it but nothing changed

To by quite frankly that ToP bar Settings was not also on my 0.4. But this did not effect dashboard.

Any way, is any option to return to 0.4?

You can do this to rollback to 0.4.1, but that's not the solution:

Code:
git checkout 08e1e00e10201d44b7f4d8bcf2f24ad2d5784ff3

With the previous commands now you should have altcoins to be selected (you can repeat it just to be sure).
