I need some help. I'm trying to move away from the PC clients for mining and use RPI to run my miners. I've been able to get Minera up and running, which was a cinch. But I'm having major stability issues when using my Dualminers. I'm running them in Scyrpt only mode and using a USB 2.0 powered hub. I'm suing BFGminer in Minera as it worked fine when using Multiminer and the DMU. What I'm experiencing is that Minera seems to be totally locking up and then restarting. I've tried various setting combinations when it comes to re-starting the miner. I don't know if it's just a support issue with the Dualminer or something I'm doing wrong. I plan on getting rid of the Dualminers as I already have a Gawminers The Fury enroute.
i have 10 rockminers on one rPi with Minera and it runs great, when i had the Fury's or G-blades i had nothing but issues. blades seems to run very well on CPUminer when the stars are in alignment but when they ran for more than 12 hours it just had lots of connection issues or changing pools intermittently. even setting a restart after x hours. hmmmmmm..... I haven't had a ton of time to play around with the RPI yet, been a busy week. But I did plan on seeing how it ran with my ANT U1's. If it runs stable then I might just pick up a ZenController then for the Fury. I also plan on picking up a R-Box so it's good to hear Rockminers run stable on it.

Having trouble discovering my BlackWidow miner...
Getting "[2014-08-30 19:04:38] Zeus Detect: Test failed at /dev/ttyUSB0: got 00000000, should be: 00038d26"
Not sure what I need to do...was really hoping to get my BW off the windows pc running Multiminer
Made a few changes and now this is what I am getting....
[2014-08-30 19:33:21] Started cgminer 4.3.5 [2014-08-30 19:33:21] Loaded configuration file /var/www/minera/conf/miner_conf.json [2014-08-30 19:33:22] ZUS: cgid 0 latency request on non-FTDI device [2014-08-30 19:33:22] ZUS0 opened on 1:4 [2014-08-30 19:33:22] Probing for an alive pool [2014-08-30 19:33:23] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 32 [2014-08-30 19:33:23] Pool 1 difficulty changed to 512 [2014-08-30 19:33:23] Network diff set to 1.05K [2014-08-30 19:33:28] API bind to port 4028 failed - trying again in 30sec [2014-08-30 19:33:49] Network diff set to 1.16K [2014-08-30 19:33:49] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block [2014-08-30 19:33:58] API bind to port 4028 failed - trying again in 30sec [2014-08-30 19:34:28] API bind to port 4028 failed - trying again in 30sec [2014-08-30 19:34:59] API bind to port 4028 failed (Address already in use) - API will not be available
Going to try again with the a different miner, that was using cgdmaxlzeus
Okay, got it rolling! did a complete re-write of my SD and made minimal changes to the settings and I am good to go! now to tweak the settings a tad and all is well. Thanks for this sweet software mate!

I prefer to make manual donations and keep my miners where I like them...ya never know when your pool is going to get that "luck" Anyways, is there a list of compatible mining hardware anywhere? I would like to get my BTCGarden and Rockminer units rolling with Minera if possible. Thanks!

Pretty much, if its USB and supported by BFGMiner / CGMiner (or any other forks) it is supported by Minera.
Most will work with either of the 2 main miners straight away, if it needs a special fork then you can ssh in, custom build it, and replace one of the preinstalled ones on minera.

Thanks, I'm starting to think I might have been too aggressive with my restart settings when detecting dead miners, but at the same time I know the Daulminers aren't very reliable anyway. However, I plugged in my ANTs, unfortunately I can't get my USB 3.0 hub to work so I can't run them all, but with the ones I can fit on a smaller USB 2.0 hub they work pretty solid. Minerd still seems to reboot often even when the restart conditions aren't being met, and it doesn't seem like I'm getting the right share accept stats as Minera is showing a crazy high error rate but through my pool the error rate is low or zero. Now I know for a fact when using CGminer 4.3.3 and the ANTS they are stable and run great. One thing I've noticed repeating in the logs is the following [2014-08-31 08:21:20] KnC transport: Can not open SPI device /dev/spidev1.0: No such file or directory

I have a single Ant U1, and 10 Gridseed Mini's, I noticed that running SHA256, my Ant would get 50% errors when run on Cgminer-dmaxl-zeus with the minis, On BFGminer on its own it was flawless. What is the power like to the USB2 Hub? it may not be able to give enough to go around between all the ants etc. I found that mine would eventually start to die out on my usb hub with the minis, so I have moved it back to its own instance of bfgminer on a windows server running altcoin wallets. Side note.. my 3 week old 850w powersupply i had hooked up to run the minis, usb hub, and rpi for minera, died when i turned it OFF (not ON.. OFF) last night... go figure.. Looks like 9 out of 10 of the barrel plugs solder joints werent holding up, so might have had a short or just too much resistance. Ordered 10 barrel plugs with screw terminals to fix it. Wasnt even any pop or special blue smoke released...

Every single time I check my miner it is mining for donation pool...this is ridiculous. I do not mind donating something, but no matter what I do it always mines donation pool after an hour or so.
EDIT: I have just fixed it by blocking that domain via my firewall.

Please can I have some info from your config? Of course this is not intended to happen. Can be an issue with miner used and pools selected? What' s the miner and where do you mine? Then you can simply delete the donation pool from the settings page if you have issues with it.

When I delete it comes right back after hitting apply...I am running a GAW War Machine pointed at Liteguardian with 2 fail over pools. I do not mind donating to projects like these, but it seems a tad pushy for me.

might be worth re-imaging your card and starting again. As I can confirm here that my Gridseed farm on Minera will only mine the donation pool for the time i set it to, the rest of the time it is successfully on WestHash

There is definitely a problem with your installation, as suggested by Axiste my hint is to re-image the SD Card with the latest Minera and start from zero.

Word, thanks for the quick reply mate! I will be sending some Dogecoin your way very soon. I have been controlling my BlackWidow with Minera for a few days now. Very awesome software you've developed mate! I especially enjoy the MobileMiner integration. Cheers!

Hang in there my friend. Now the question is can it be supported? It would be great and very handy. I know right! So it seems my stability issues all relate to the Dualminer USB's. I finally got my Gawminer Fury in and Minera runs super stable. I had to play around a bit to get it running really nice, starts with the CGminer Zues fork, was getting a ton of errors. Just figured out changing to bfgminer with the following command --scrypt -S zus:all --set zus:ignore_golden_nonce=1 --set zus:clock=350, I'm getting 1.4mh/s at the miner and 1.1mh/s poolside. Errors are holding at about 2-3%. I'm gonna run like that for a bit and maybe turn the clock down a hair and see if errors lower even more.

Do you have a guide on how you configured your Fury to run with Raspberry Pi. I'm getting a Fury and want to link them together to use this but am not sure where to start.
