I wish I disagreed, but I don't. We have all seen coins rise and fall and they do have their fair share of "great devs" comments filling up the pages.

I don't think this however applies to blackcoin because its price remains fairly consistent. It takes very little for it to rise and a lot of low volume days for it to drop. Meaning it has resistance to dropping and assitance to rising. When projects get out of beta the price will recover quickly and fall slowly. Sad to say, but that is what a good coin looks like these days.

Random use for old hardware...

If you wish that you could stake interest on a more frequent basis why not throw an old USB miner on the BC Multipool? I'm not BC rich, but by doing this it basically gives you full stake interest (Depending on how much BC you hold) every day via mining and you get to reuse your old hardware that would otherwise be collecting dust. I've been doing this for a while and its worked out well. You wont get rich, but its nice to have a small trickle of BC coming in everyday.

Actually most of the blackcoin community has dropped the "to the moon" bullshit. We don't want a massive pump in price because we know that causes a massive sell off. We want slow steady growth. And if you can stop looking at everything in the time frame of a few days you will see that Blackcoin has had steady upward growth and it will continue.

We don't say we have the best dev, but we do have a developer who is actually working on the protocol instead of just making a custom wallet. Most of the coins are just custom wallet features that could be put on any blockchain and don't really justify their own blockchain.

There are a lot of things coming out soon and the independent developer community surrounding blackcoin stopped giving out ETA's because we realized it will just be abused by pump and dumpers.

Anyways between educating trolls I need to program.

This annul rate will still be 1% compounding. But if the node is offline, it will not accumulate coin age, as to say.

The reward rate will remain based of coin age so it stays 1%. 1% is the best rate because it does not give too much power to large holders, which is a potential issue with PoS. It is the reason most PoS coins with higher rates or proof of strength are bad.

PoS2 just takes coin age out of the calculation when you win the block, preventing a user from accumulating a lot of coins, waiting then staking and getting 10 in a row. They are now less likely to get 10 in a row but will still get paid their 1% as they get blocks because the reward calculation is the same. It is a genius simple solution to a major problem in PoS.

you can drive the price down so you can buy cheap BC, everyone is happy because they have bought cheap BC,but if everyone does this the price of BC wil never rise.

The problem isn't blackcoin; blackcoin's great and is a truly pioneering altcoin that remains interesting. The problem is there's too many other coins sucking money away from BC...

I'm hoping there will be some sort of mass awakening that shitcoins are dumb and will disappear like cheesy mortgage-backed security products.

Theoretically if BTC leaves shitcoins it could come back to BC but instead it just goes to newer shitcoins.

Let's hope this "coin-a-day" thing is a fad that dies down. The whole alt scene is a bubble that is currently busting.
