On Poloniex too, buy orders are coming in nicely. On Bittrex though it looks like some is trying to supress the price a bit, everytime a push is made towards 2000 Satoshis sell orders start rolling in and once the price drops below 1800 Satoshis, the sell orders are gone.

It could be quite possibly, but judging from the order depth there's very little resistance all the way through to 3K Satoshis. A seller who wanted to offload their coins would've established sell orders at this point rather than at 2K Satoshis.
