I updated the OP with supply Smiley.

Regarding the last FUD comments it's obviously linked to the fact we're having a big spike in volume and price today. Anyway most of the last FUD comments don't make any sense if you followed just a bit our updates.. Also main difference between us and the other people : we deliver we don't just post photoshops as Numus I guess or any other examples you said, have you at least downloaded the wallet  Smiley? You know it's not photoshop on the gif right?

And I'll say just one last thing that will counter any FUD spreading : 1 month pause and 2 POW phase is the LAST thing a scam dev would do, think about it...

Anyway it's great to see so much people rally to Silkcoin and the last POW phase haven't even started !

Silk coin does not just have ONE dev... There is a team of DEVS working hard on making this coin the best in crypto.  This may one day not just replace Bitcoin, but also Facebook and Twitter... This is truly many people's ground floor opportunity... Best advice is to get some while you can and stash them! Smiley

Judge Crypto

Just curious, how *exactly* do you think that Silkcoin will replace social media platforms when it's supposed to be a currency?
Kind of a bold statement to make!

kind of a bullshit statement to make more like haha

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

What error do you get? Can you paste me your debug.log?

This is the message  I got at 12 midnight less then a week ago, after I had a wallet crash.  Silk response time was amazing and it was all fixed within  the hour.  These developers are amazing and have been for weeks. This is why you see people coming out to defend them.

dude you have been a member for about two weeks, I think in any argument involving sockpuppets you better keep quiet.

Let's end this FUD spreading. For those of you who'd like to know my background. I was previously an avid supporter of BlackCoin before I became a part of the SilkCoin team, I did a lot of promotional work for them and collaborated personally with the BlackCoin Foundation members, before things turned South there.

Everything that I did there can be found here in my freelancer thread, which has since been closed down as I now devote all my time to SilkCoin : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=590322.msg6473490#msg6473490

If you want to know my legitimacy, I was the person who did the redesign of http://blackcoin.co (Yes, that's right, the actual BlackCoin main website)
Proof : http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/2702m0/we_have_a_new_main_website_go_check_it_out/ (This was completed around 3 weeks ago, but was only posted recently)

Finally, I am not an immediate part of the development team. I am not a developer, I am merely a person working with the developers to move SilkCoin forward.

Wulfcastle is one of the BEST teammates one could wish for.  The stuff he is doing for the wallet UI behind the scenes is amazing.  People will be COPYING his work.  Everyone should consider themselves lucky he is part of the team! I personally see all the work he does behind the scenes developing and marketing Silk Coin! Smiley

Did I also mention what is common in these scams is a bunch of cheerleaders, likely with sock puppet accounts.

Either you are part of the scam or you are stupid. I just gave some very strong evidence and you didn't even consider it!

AND when did you open your account? The same time as him. You are a sockpuppet fool.

a newbie registered in  May 21, 2014 is telling us this is scam...I have been following this thread since beginning and never seen any break of promises from the dev team.  I can see you are trying to spread FUD to gain some cheap coins, but you really should figured out some more persuasive tales Grin

Maybe it would be a good time to start new topic when Silkcoin reach 10th on Mintpal . I mean selfmoderated one. We will attract more trolls and jealous people. It is inevitable and I for one would like to reduce the toxicity Smiley

I think we'll lose a lot of momentum if we do that. A prime example is BlackCoin which was getting close to 2000 posts per week before they switched threads and now after a month they've accumulated only 4000 posts. It fractures the community to some extent when switching threads.

One question for the dev though.
I was here on launch day, and it said it would be two POW stages, each giving approx 50 mil coins.
Due to the mixed POS/POW phase from start, it resulted in about 30 mil coins first stage instead right?

And as I see now, the second stage will give half reward instead, so making the grand total of coins about 45-46mil at the end of the second POW/POS stage right?

My main question and point is. The premine was accounted for that it would be total 100mil coins, but now that's not true anymore and the % is actually higher than it states correct?
Follow-up question: How much remains of the premine, and will the result of the higher % in total mean that you'll give out more in bounties than you first decided?

That was more than one question  Grin

Thanks. /M

Yeah well its just a suggestion. I mean it would be propably wise to do if there was much more negativity. This is propably still nothing Smiley

You know, what are you doing especially on this forum is higly dangerous -calling people names. There are people with a vast resources and I advise you to check archives how did those people ended when they messed with wrong people here.

See this was originally a bitcoin forum and lots of people here got rich, there is a big concentration of people with money and they dont know what to do with it, but hey they surely can take revenge on others ,-)

I advise you to stop before you get into some real trouble.

I just got this threat in my message box. If you needed enough evidence this coin is a scam then here you are. Hey and bitcoinstalker or whatever you name is I will personally lead a manhunt for you once this scam has been revealed. NO one threatens a troll unless they themselves are scammers.

Announcement

Win an Oculus Rift on Poloniex by Trading SilkCoin

Details

Quote
1. Any single trade on the SC/BTC market valued at 0.01 BTC or greater constitutes one entry into the competition

2. The number of trades made is important as it constitutes an entry into the competition. Volume is inconsequential. For example, 5 trades each with a value of 0.01 BTC will get you 5 entries, whereas 1 trade with a value of 0.05 BTC will get you 1 entry.

3. The more entries you make, the greater your chances of winning the competition

4. The competition runs from 05 June 2014 until the start of SilkCoin's 2nd PoW phase, projected to be on 12 June 2014

5. A winner will be randomly picked from the pool of entries

6. The winner will be announced by Poloniex at the end of the competition

Here's where to find info about the competition on Poloniex :

*This is the first of 3 major announcements that will be coming in the next 2 days!

I was wondering. Will there be a Multipool that pays in SilkCoin?   Other then Hashcows?  I like mining x11 and x13  but I end up tradeing all my earnings for Silk.  Thanks

Yes the percentage is now higher than it states & 400k have been distributed on the premine already; We're trying as much as possible to make the premine last for a long time so we pay a lot in bitcoins or $ instead of using the premine (occulus rift & co) and of course never sell any silkcoin on exchanges. The premine is here to fund Silkcoin for a long time, the inside team (me and the devs) are not allowed to touch it, but on the other hand we may give out bounties also to the marketers (as I told you earlier we're all working together on a task management software).

Regarding bounties most of the time it depends on the work done and price of silkcoin because each work is very different but we try to give out a bounty to every single person who helps SC Wink, there's a LOT of ways to help and I think most people can testify the bounty they got was pretty decent. A big part is distributed via giveaways also (Mintpal giveaway is the biggest in date, and not finished yet) and there's a lot more to come.

The point of this premine is to support Silkcoin on the long run. And we'll try to make an allocation list soon (everything is labeled in the premine wallet) but we didn't take the time for that yet since we don't consider this as primordial since an allocation list doesn't prove anything (its very easy to cheat), on the other hand constant distribution and non-stop work will prove our dedication.

And to answer the last question yes there will be a multipool, we're currently working on that Smiley.

Lol it's always the same, when a coin takes off it attracts people trying to bring it down. To me it's a sign we are going somewhere and that somewhere is moon. Don't let that gorilla punk spoil your day. He is probably a sad little 14 year old boy who feels left out. He has no place on a forum like this.

By the way, I welcome any threats in my inbox, but only when you put your money where your mouth is.
Meaning you must be willing to meet me in person and saying it to my face.

In other news: let's carry on with our journey to the moon. I hold XC, CRY and SC = the three best investments you can make right now.

Just hit the ignore button on the user.

You're not very bright are you? I mean who threatens trolls unless they are damaging a well planned scam. That alone should set off alarm bells but you think it's funny. You are part of the scam or not smart. You are almost the only non Newbie on here so I might have to go for daft.
