i've been out with my family all day and looking in my phone now and again ..

evening all btw Wink

Ah how cute we got our first little troll for no reason , well i guess we couldn't expect this to be a grown up thread on all pages, still 150 pages before some nonsensical drivel was spewed from a mouth that was probably breast fed with a Brick is not too bad going.

All vote !

wow SC has risen ...everyone wants some Silk as they know whats going to happen .. not a pump .... remember Quickly up = quickly down .. just a steady rise to the behemoth status we will eventually acquire.

All is well and the camel marches on.

Q

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Details

Quote
1. Any single trade on the SC/BTC market valued at 0.01 BTC or greater constitutes one entry into the competition

2. The number of trades made is important as it constitutes an entry into the competition. Volume is inconsequential. For example, 5 trades each with a value of 0.01 BTC will get you 5 entries, whereas 1 trade with a value of 0.05 BTC will get you 1 entry.

3. The more entries you make, the greater your chances of winning the competition

4. The competition runs from 05 June 2014 until the start of SilkCoin's 2nd PoW phase, projected to be on 12 June 2014

5. A winner will be randomly picked from the pool of entries

6. The winner will be announced by Poloniex at the end of the competition

Here's where to find info about the competition on Poloniex :

*This is the first of 3 major announcements that will be coming in the next 2 days!

Everyone when you have a chance, take a look at our new introductory video into SilkCoin

Introducing Operation Shock & Awe

What is Operation Shock & Awe?

Operation Shock & Awe is the internal name for a social initiative spearheaded through a series of giveaways from various outlets. The aim of operation shock and awe is to do a blitz of SilkCoin and get as many people as possible to hear about SilkCoin, download our wallet, learn about our features and in the process get listed on further exchanges.

How will Operation Shock & Awe work?

Operation Shock & Awe is a 2-part initiative.

Part 1, which is currently underway and will continue all the way through to the 2nd PoW phase, will be used to spread the word around about SilkCoin and in turn get listed on MintPal. This will provide us some stability and foundation going through to the 2nd PoW phase.

Part 2, which will collerate with the start of the 2nd Pow phase, will be a full on social media blitz to get as many people as possible to hear about SilkCoin. We already have some big crypto names in social media lined up ready for part 2. The names of these social media accounts will be anounced at the start of part 2.

Who are the current participants on Part 1?

All Crypto All Day
CryptoSandwich

Between the 2 above Twitter accounts, they have a following of over 36 000 people. SilkCoin will be tweeted about daily to each of these 36 000 followers.

CryptoSandwich is in charge of our MintPal voting campaign that can be found here : http://bitcoingarden.tk/forum/index.php?topic=541.0

Each voter will receive 15 SC per vote. There are additional prizes which include a 15 000 SC grand prize to the person who votes the most along with 2 500 SC prizes each for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place voters

What can I do to help?

1. Vote for us on MintPal and post here : http://bitcoingarden.tk/forum/index.php?topic=541.0 to claim your 15 SC rewards
2. Retweet this : https://twitter.com/CryptoSandwich/status/470789069430333443 with the handle #silkcoin
3. Retweet all #silkcoin tweets from All Crypto All Day
4. Tweet what you like most about Silkcoin with the handle #silkcoin

Some price points to consider for the second PoW Phase...

If you are waiting for a 1000 satoshi price point....
It would only take 150 BTC to buy up all 15,000,000 new coins... So if there were 150 people with 1BTC each you will not see it drop below this

If you are waiting for a 1500 satoshi price point....
It would only take 225 BTC to buy up all 15,000,000 new coins... So if there were 225 people with 1BTC each you will not see it drop below this

If you are waiting for a 2000 satoshi price point....
It would only take 300 BTC to buy up all 15,000,000 new coins... So if there were 300 people with 1BTC each you will not see it drop below this

If you buy just 1BTC of Silk Coin at 3000 satoshi and Silk coin hits the current value of Black coin of 25,000 satoshi...
*** You would have 8.3333 Bitcoin!  Ask yourself, how hard will that be for Silk Coin to do?

What are the chances of 300+ people investing in Silk Coin with at least 1 BTC?  How many of those have already decided to BUY during the next PoW and just are waiting...

Thanks Quantum!  The whole rise in popularity has made me rethink my reserve BTC to scoop up Silk coin during second PoW... I may have to send those boys in early!

If one listens very carefully you can hear the cry of the Whale song...

.... feed me cheap coins... feed me cheap coins... I'm hungry why wont you feed me... i make waves so you sell... why wont you sell... whale hungry....

Ask yourself... why the sudden interest in someone to bash the coin?  Obviously they want some... Why does the guy tease the hot chick?

Looks like someone wants some of the hot Silk Smiley

Buyers are getting anxious at the moment. You can see it by monitoring the market. Around 20 minutes ago there was a "panic" buy, that bought up all sell orders from 3000 Satoshi to 3600 Satoshi. After that "panic" buy, another 5 BTC has accumulated in the buy order book. If the price level stays the same it will most likely indicate a new support floor.

Any publicity is good publicity if the coin checks out, and it checks out with me. Let the trolls talk they are actually helping with publicity and they don't even know it.

The premine. Drk had a huge premine/instamine. Did it stop investors from buying? (I pass judgement with my wallet and Im looking to continue buying).

I hope ppl are right about the 2nd pow having a price drop. I sold and im regretting it, I have a problem with selling too soon.

Get your facts straight - DarkCoin had zero premine.  It was also only CPU mineable at launch so that instamine you are talking about would have been distributed among many miners.

Fact is premines don't bode well for a coin long-term.  Check out the successful coins on MintPal and see which ones have premines.  I'm not bashing SilkCoin here, it looks like a decent coin, but premines do turn off many investors.

Pre-mines do effect peoples view on coins you are 100% correct , its only used to market the coin .. and.. the Devs have been known to pay their bills with BTC and refuse to sell some of th pre-mine to fund development projects which would be totally justifiable as this should better the coin.

The addresses are public, the wallet, team and commitment speaks for themselves.. updates every week things delivered when promised on time..

I ask people to judge us on what they see and what has been discussed, we are happy for you to drag us over the coals after non implemented promises are broken ...

Most coins are killed because of just fancy words... but we just got a fancy wallet Wink

When does the second POW phase start?

Quote from: Wulfcastle on June 07, 2014, 12:29:11 PM

Okay I'm in the GMT+2 Timezone so you guys will have to adjust the time accordingly to your time zone.

In around 15 mins time (at the time of this post) we will be at block 46 000.  It's currently 14:30 in my timezone.

Therefore there will be another 565 blocks today (There's 1440 blocks in a day). So :

08 June 2014 - 00:00 : Block 46 565
09 June 2014 - 00:00 : Block 48 005
10 June 2014 - 00:00 : Block 49 445
10 June 2014 - 09:25 : Block 50 000

So it all points to the 2nd PoW phase starting at 09:25 (GMT+2) on Tuesday. Take note that this is an estimation, the actual time we hit block 50 000 may vary by around 30 minutes to an hour.

When does the second POW phase start?

About 35.7 hours....

Easy way to calculate... go to statistics in wallet...

50,000 - (47,858 Current Block) = 2142 remaining blocks to 2nd PoW....

Since each block is roughly 1 minute... 2142/60 = 35.7 hours
