Before anyone asks.... the 'Send Coins' link is now a new tab under  'Receive Coins'.

Maybe 'Receive Coins' should be updated to 'Send / Receive' to be more intuitive???

this has been recognized and will be addressed

  ⚠  ⚠   Wallet Update - HARD FORK - UPDATE MANDATORY FOR EVERYONE  ⚠  ⚠
Mac, Windows & Linux available NOW fully compatible & BEAUTIFUL

As you may all know we finally decided to reduce the block reward in the next POW phase to please the community. There was a lot of arguments for and against the last phase so to please everyone since both sides had very valid points we decided to keep the last phase BUT reduce the block reward to 2500. So there will be 2x less coins generated in the last phase.

Total expected coins at the end of last phase : ~45 million

EVERYONE MUST UPDATE BEFORE POW, else you may send transactions on the wrong chain and lose your coins.
We deleted all pools from the OP, when you updated your client post in the thread we will add you back to the original post and website.

So now let's see this new version, better than words :

We worked very hard to release this update so fast fully compatible on all OS, we will now have more free time to get you updates from the eco-system front !

A white paper is in the writing but the system we're building is so complex the white paper will be quite long.
Just a few word this time, no this is not a darknet more a social network with unique usernames stored in the blockchain and all kind of infos shared via p2p everything working with pub/priv keys.

We'll give more and more infos quite soon so even before the whitepaper you all start to understand the way this system functions, for the moment enjoy the new update and..

Spread the word : MANDATORY UPDATE BEFORE POW BLOCK 50 000 OR RISK LOSING COINS

This looks so amazing! You guys are the best. The block reward halving seems like a fair and acceptable decision. Keep it up!

I can't get the wallet to minimize to the taskbar. I like having my active wallets displayed on the taskbar, but I have tried all combos in Settings and can't get it to work. The previous version of the wallet would minimize to the taskbar.

I just started following SC a few days ago and I was wondering if there are any faucets or anything? I unfortunately am tied up in XBC Sad and would take a major hit if I tried to sell now so hoping it's price rebounds some and I can get out and get a stake in SC.

show/hide button works for me, the button next to the close/quit button.

Go settings > Window to edit how the client responds to close/minimize

yeah, that's the one I am trying. Weird

Okay for those of you migrating from the old design to the new design there are quite a few changes :

- The top menu bar no longer exists and has been merged into the Main Menu
- There are no longer 2 separate tabs for sending and receiving coins. They have both been combined into one tab named "Send/Receive" (Currently you'll see it as "Receive" but that will be changed soon)
- All important actions, such as sign/verify a message, ecnrypt wallet, lock/unlock wallet etc. are now housed in the "Actions" page
- All settings have been moved from the top menu bar and are now housed under "Settings" in the Main Menu

Please see below for a visual illustration of the changes :

We're fixing the few glitches/issues right now but we had to release this version as soon as possible because of the hard fork and the POW phase coming.

We need everyone on the new version before the POW, that's why this version needed to be released ASAP.

But we'll post fixed updated compiles very soon now that we're all getting on the same fork.

As for the Oculus Rift Competition I've posted a topic here in the Alternate Cryptocurrencies Section : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=640806.0

Please try and keep that thread as alive as possible.

Guys, how do you properly update this wallet? Do I just delete 1.0.8 and DL 1.0.9 and run or do I have to do something else? Thanks.

Just download 1.0.9, and copy/paste it over 1.0.8. Or you could do it your way, either way works just fine Smiley

To the Devs. Love the Wallet design, best in the Crypto market by far. Also find the live market data very useful and the Social feature very clever for building a community.

Does Silkcoin have a facebook page yet? Perhaps the opportunity to link your wallet to your social media account would be a powerful marketing tool, the option to like the page at a click of a button would be free mass marketing using its users. Each user who likes the page at a click of a button will have on average 200+ friends on facebook who just saw their friend liked #silkcoin. Bound to create some interest and a social media buzz.

It it likely to fall in price again once the next POW stage starts?
As its probably a good time to sell and then buy again when it drops? I wish i did this when it reached 2 cents!

The Oculus Rift itself is around $350, depending on where the winner is shipping will probably be around $15-$30 extra. So around $375.
