How much is the Occulus Rift worth that is in the contest? I was just able to buy .03 BTC worth of SC and if I win by some moracle I would want to sell it for more SC  The Oculus Rift itself is around $350, depending on where the winner is shipping will probably be around $15-$50 extra. So around $380. Come on good luck for once!!! baby needs some diapers (well silkcoin, the baby will be fine ) |

⚠ ⚠ Wallet Update - HARD FORK - UPDATE MANDATORY FOR EVERYONE ⚠ ⚠ Mac, Windows & Linux available NOW fully compatible & BEAUTIFUL As you may all know we finally decided to reduce the block reward in the next POW phase to please the community. There was a lot of arguments for and against the last phase so to please everyone since both sides had very valid points we decided to keep the last phase BUT reduce the block reward to 2500. So there will be 2x less coins generated in the last phase. Total expected coins at the end of last phase : ~45 millionEVERYONE MUST UPDATE BEFORE POW, else you may send transactions on the wrong chain and lose your coins.
We deleted all pools from the OP, when you updated your client post in the thread we will add you back to the original post and website.
So now let's see this new version, better than words : We worked very hard to release this update so fast fully compatible on all OS, we will now have more free time to get you updates from the eco-system front ! A white paper is in the writing but the system we're building is so complex the white paper will be quite long. Just a few word this time, no this is not a darknet more a social network with unique usernames stored in the blockchain and all kind of infos shared via p2p everything working with pub/priv keys. We'll give more and more infos quite soon so even before the whitepaper you all start to understand the way this system functions, for the moment enjoy the new update and.. I just put a 60000 SC buy order at 1451. I bought at 1554 too. Nice trading run I would say  . Some people just wait for "news" to buy or sell, I just don't get it to be honnest. Ok that could help, but if a coin is good, it is good - and no need to offer a 350$ gadget to pump it. The Oculus is a nice idea for sure (I retwetted it) - but what SC need is more buy support. Now in poloniex, all buy order = less then 10 btc (3 of them is me). That's just too thin ! We do need a multipool with a solid algorythme - that would give more support and in same time would get some advertising potential. Go guys ! |

Guys I am trying to decide if I should sell my 2 R7 265s for a couple hundred bucks or so for both and invest that in SC or keep them and try to mine other coins to buy SC or wait for a multipool for SC?

Tricky question, with ASIC coming soon, and with BTC looking ready for a ride - who know how the market will react. I own many R9 290, and I still run it for a while. If you can sell yours for, says, 200$ now, you probably be able to sell it for 150$ in 2-3 months. I do like the "buy SC" option too |

The genius of a second pow session. Mining can be used as advertising and distribution(scrypt is still heavily used and ppl don't change quickly) . Once we go pow again many new eyes will see Silkcoin and try out the wallet(then they become investors). Keep adding kindel and the fire will eventually turn into a blaze.
