Reacting to the form is ok - but it is just a "cosmetic" concern. Contents is what's important, and here the central idea is just amazing. If devs succeed to create it, Silkcoin will skyrocket. The point is the idea is not just a copy - it's a complete new concept. As for the premine, nobody work for free. Profits is a good thing, it's rewarding good job - and if devs are transparent with premine's use, every single SC holder will benefit from it. PS: I was hoping for a long time for a 2k SC - I thought Multipool would dump as hell and kill the price during PoW. I was wrong - I a just had an occasion to buy a healthy bunch of SC @2500 sato.

Just read the White Paper - and i think the content was great, was surprised by the innovation and support the devs are giving to the coin to make it stand out, and im sure it will go far in the future! As long as the devs are active and are making progress, i will continue to support this amazing coin!! Well done dev, keep at it!! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=660848.new#new This is a great article and really does reflect the foundation of what (I think) the devs and community are trying to accomplish. It's some serious stuff!

R.I.P silk coin
The sells are building up and the buys are shrinking, dump now like i did, even at a loss, it beats holding a heavy bag of worthless silk coins. You don't even have to tell "the community" just dump and move on, you'll be glad you did when you look at the price of silk coin in one week, and it will only keep dropping.

If you're doing that just for "fun" and you're not accumulating SC, you should leave the internet.

i am only trying to help you guys, you have obviously invested a large chunk of btc into silk to blindly try to defend it, just dump and move on, if you like to watch your btc evaporate then sure accumulate more silk while it's "cheap" Ps. will be even cheaper in a week

I'm really confused why people were upset with the white paper? I think it's well written and clear. Maybe you guys wanted some pretty pictures and fancy graphs? That's the only thing I can think of. Dev has a ton of work to do and people want to flame over the damn white paper...who cares. You should be encouraging the dev not slamming them. Sounds like a bunch of kids that don't like what mommy made for dinner. "If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding! Maybe if you're all good we get pudding in a few weeks x

Premine is fine by me. They need paid too. I promise you they wont be selling the premine at 2500 sat. I'm sure they are looking for 500000 sat.
Even if it takes a year. I am looking at silk like BTC and LTC. I am selling other coins that I mine and buying silk. When its down I get Silk cheap and when its up I get richer.

Exactly what I feel and am doing! I would be lying if I said the 4% did not bother me a little, then I thought if you want something great, you best be paying for something great. We are at the floor right now and should allow this thing to grow legs and walk. If it does, they grow as well as the community. Thus, it appears to be a win-win, unless you expected a pump and dump, then you get what you deserve.

Perhaps the dev team should destroy the extra premine percentage. The spec changed so this would only be fair. This should be done publicly. This would show the integrity of the devs and be great for PR. Other coins have sucessfully done this.
Thats not bad idea actually. Lets see what the dev says sent dev pm last week asking to destroy rest of premine. dev says need for bounties developments and for future of coin. i understand that alot of work is needed for eco-system and marketplace. sent another pm but dev offline now. i would like community to donate and for premine to be destroyed. i pledge 25000sc if this is done soon. i would like to see multipool set up and 1-2% going to fund future of our fine coin What does this accomplish? You want the dev to destroy the premine and then we just donate coins back to them. If you are concerned about the devs using the premine for ill purposes why would you donate coins right back to them? But if you are not worried about them using the premine for ill purposes why destroy it in the first place?? All you will be doing is taking coins out of the hands of the community who have them in their wallets for staking which strengthens the network only to have it go to one or two addresses that may not stake at all. Your request is illogical and not thought through. Destruction of the premine serves multiple purposes: 1. Over 4% premine is too much. Especially when the intial specification called for 2%. 2. This new premine amount is creating problems with confidence. Wheather imagined or real. 3. When other coins have destoryed premine they reach a new level of enthusiasm for the coin. 4. People are already saying that they will donate and so will I. 5. This will help reduce FUD. The initial spec called for a 2% premine that should stand. I have been with this coin since the first day. I don't post much but I am here often. Finally the dev team needs to know that they have a team the will reciprocate their efforts. I can clearly see your position, but with premine wallet, you have an escrow (sort of) --with donations, meh maybe and who is to say you would not honor and what is to say any new investors would honor. I think you are asking to be like the other coins in that regard and I say (who cares). If they are freaked out on the premine, they really should move on to another coin. It appear this is the charter founded and going forth, how they are funded. Be glad they are not asking for hand out like all the other coins. This is actually a good thing in that regard.

At least we can agree we want to succeed. That is all that I am interested in. Good luck all. I am not a DEV and not brushing your suggestion off, just so you know. I am invested like many others. My opinion doesn't matter much in these parts. I just like a healthy discussion and like topics like this as they help me understand and learn more about the coin and potential futures.

For sake of GOD, don't destroy premine, you need money for your good work, use them for the future development. Every work must be paid if somebody think other way, than after reading this post you must work for free, eat grass and live in a box.

But can you explain to me why the dev fund needs to be destroyed and recreated? It seems like a nice gesture which will show community support but it also seems empty. With the recent market games there are whales who hold much larger % than the devs if a "dump" and crash of price is listed in your concerns I would be more worried about them. Just like with Bitcoin, the price of Silkcoin is the least interesting thing about it. Sure if you were hoping to make a quick buck then I think you are out of luck, but anyone trying to do that loses my sympathy in any case. For anyone to profit without creation or adding value means that someone else needs to suffer unnecessary loss. Very well said. I also think, it's not in favor of Silkcoin that we start another discussion about destroying some premine and replacing it by a new wallet with coins. all investors here believe in the dev and this coin, no matter if the premine is 1% or 5%. let the dev do his work, he never disappointed us. Don't forget that we ( bagholders) were really happy that the second POW delivered only 50% more coins instead of 100%. So the rise in price for our own coin we liked. And now some people don't like the rise in percentage of the premine...
