This whole cloudmining malarky really baffles me.
Its like a loan with a really shitty interest rate that goes negative and thus gets closed out before you even get your prinicpal back.
I mean wtf.. seriously?
Apparently there are still suckers buying contracts that will obviously never roi if you do the math.
idk..maybe its because one likes seeing the dust land in one's account everyday?
If so, do what I do....use that fiat you would throw away at a Genesis cloudmining contract
and simply auto buy a set amount of bitcoin every week/month(whatever your budget) that will approx. match the initial payout
of said contract.
presto! you have regular payments of bitcoin just like a cloud contract but with added benefit
that payment never goes down when difficulty rises. Also, you can run it as long as you want or cancel anytime.
And if you really got ambitious you could even set it up to look like daily mining proceeds.Imagine that!

hey now! maybe theres an app for that?  Cheesy

Bitcoin...the future of all monetary transactions...and always will be

When miners complained on GM Facebook about the termination of contracts, the GM social media team simply copy and paste a template reply and shows the bitcoin difficulty chart. haha

It is not a scam then ? But for some it is. The support seems to be bad they will not get back to some people but other have no problems. I wonder of the small buyers or big buyers have the most trouble. Depends how much money they want to steal.  Tongue

Its a shame they have no way to view total ROI since investing. Seems they may be hiding that information on purpose.

lol, laughing about myself, because I can't believe I was so stupid to "invest" here. I have decided to revisit this thread from time to time and leave a post for new "investors". Don't go there, or you will loose your money. Buy and hold Bitcoin, and you will make profit. My last "investment" at Genesis Mining was a contract I bought 1 week before the halving. This is the only "lifetime" contract (out of 5 I bought) that still pays out, all others were cancelled. So I have a "passive income" of 0.00020000 BTC being send to me every 4 days. lol

I compared this last contract with the new one from today. It looks like the conditions of the contract of an upgrade I'd buy today are the very same. So if I buy another contract of 0.1 TH today, would I also receive 0.00020000 BTC every 4 days ? lol

And thats the problem really upon investing at them, they've give so much low roi on their investor and we cannot really guarantee that their site or operation will last forever, and i think their payouts will be more lowered down since difficulty are even more higher so for now investing at them is not really advisable since it can cost them a lot of time, and im pretty sure many people for now really afraid since their investment are far to get back at their pockets.

Hello Miners!

For this special occasion, we'd like to share with you our GM Special Newsletter (SPACE EDITION):

Quote from: GM Special Newsletter (SPACE EDITION) - September 15, 2016
Hello Miners!

You may have seen a teaser in a previous newsletter regarding our plan to send Bitcoin "To the Moon!" as they say…

Well I'm happy to share with you that Genesis Mining recently conducted the first ever Peer2Peer Transaction in space!

A few weeks ago we went to the U.K. to send a 3D model of a Bitcoin with a paper wallet fixed on the back all the way into space with the help of a weather balloon.

Check out the video HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnSYVo_5dXM

When it reached an altitude of 20 kilometers (what's known as the Armstrong limit) we sent the first ever Bitcoin into space. Since we believe in reaching new heights at Genesis we didn't stop there. When the Bitcoin made it to 34 kilometers our space partners let us know that it was at peak altitude so we sent another Bitcoin, beating our initial record on the same flight!

As a community we've all seen Bitcoin increase in value, and we wanted to do our part to demonstrate that there's no limit to how far Bitcoin and cryptocurrency can go.

Thanks for being a part of the Genesis Mining family. You help make these sorts of milestones possible, and we couldn't be more grateful. Make sure to check out the video and share with your communities, together we'll help Bitcoin make it to even greater heights. Maybe even to the moon!

Just  a quick reminder, our survey is still running until the 24th. Tell us what you think and enter into the raffle to win free hash power!

- Marco

I came across this thread and wondered whether Genesis -Mining is still operational. I have a mining contract with genesis-mining and I no longer receive payouts. I don't know what went wrong because when I started, I was receiving 50,000 satoshi everyday. This amount later reduced to 1000 satoshi per day and now no longer receive any payments. Can someone enlighten me

We have been in business for well over two years. We have grown quite a bit since the beginning, and we will continue expanding and innovating our services well into the future. So yes, we are most certainly still operational Smiley

For an exact answer on the situation with your contract, please contact our Customer Support, either through your Genesis Mining account, under My Account > Contact Support, which will create a ticket at our support site, or directly through our support site at https://genesismining.freshdesk.com. Please remember that we can only comment on individual issues and tickets through our official support channels.

Why is a ticket necessary for that? Just say how it is.
The maintenance fees are meanwhile higher as the reward from mining.
Therefore, the contract has been disabled.

Was that so difficult?

What I think about this, I keep to myself. Otherwise I will be deleted again.

It's not difficult, and likely it's correct, but we will know for sure when we can look into the personal situation instead of posting general guesses that may or may not apply. For that level of support we have our Customer Support that is there for you 24/7.

As for what you think, no problem with that, but the messages that were deleted today were offensive and rather aimed at a single person. I'm sure you can find other threads to post messages like that if you feel the need for it, and far worse messages even. But in this one those will be deleted.

By posting here I thought it would be of general importance to the other users. Because you want to maintain your credibility, it would be important to address such issues publicly to avoid any dissent from potential clients. Anyway, I will raise a ticket with support and most probably update the feedback here. I hope it will not be offensive.

We pay out every day, but we also need to keep other factors in mind. Small payments cost relatively much in the form of transaction fees. Not an effect anybody will be happy with. Furthermore, more and more wallet providers do not accept or show smaller transactions. To avoid issues for our customers, we're adjusting to evolving conditions. Any mined amount not paid out will be balanced until at a later mining day there is enough for payout. As always you can track payouts to your wallet if you log in to your account and go to the PAYOUTS page (click the left menu item). There is a transaction there for every mining day, even the ones not paid out due to not having reached the payout minimum. You can see more details about mined amounts by hovering your mouse over the (i)nfo icon. Sadly the total balanced amount up to date is not visible yet, but we are looking for a solution for this.

When choosing a wallet, especially on-line wallets, always check if they will accept the amounts we send. Also check if they do not change receiving address! Some providers change the address after each transaction. If the old, used ones remain linked to your account and can be used indefinitely then there is no issue, but in some cases used addresses are discarded completely. We cannot check whether a wallet is valid or not for our payouts, we simply send mined coins to it, so providing a proper address is up to you. Please choose wisely as Bitcoin, and just about all(?) following coins, were designed to have irreversible transactions so once a payment is out, nothing can be done to stop or undo it.
Especially in the case of on-line providers, make sure you use every option available to keep that account safe (enable 2FA, secondary passwords, use complicated passwords, encryption, check domain and ssl certificate validity before entering login credentials, and so on, and so on), and if you have many coins, don't keep them all in one wallet so you don't lose all of them in case of disaster.
