about 36% drop for today PO. argh...

aye, was thinking the same.   it's evident my contracts will be null soon, thank god they were super small.
strangely i am more at peace as they end, kinda happy to be away from this company i guess Wink

Why are you so complacent about the prospect of Genesis Mining just terminating your mining contracts?  They sell most of the contracts as a "lifetime" contract.   These are therefore long-term contracts.   Many of the Bitcoin mining contracts that are now paying a few cents per day have only been running for a few months.  Buyers have not even received their purchase money back, let alone any return on investment.

If Genesis Mining want people to purchase mining power, then they should NOT exercise the termination clause.  In the contract it says they "may" end the contract if there are no payouts for 20 days.  They should not exercise this option if they want people to continue to buy contracts with them.

I have bought hashing power with Genesis Mining rather than my own equipment.  It is not good business practice for them to terminate my contract and resell this hashing power to someone else.  Bitcoin mining profitability goes up and down. I understand that there may be periods when it is not profitable to mine, but these come and go.

Genesis Mining should just suspend the contract until the bitcoin price/difficulty changes and produces a return again.  They should not take away the hashing power I have paid for and resell it to someone else.  The resulting bad publicity on social media would greatly affect their business and they would be foolish to do this.

I agree 100 % as do most of the people on here that helped buy these dick heads warehouses full of mining equipment. Good service isn't a priority here, I've been dealing with this "company" for a few years now they just don't care. If anyone is thinking of giving them money just don't do it, go buy your own gear at least then you can get ROI if your smart. This is just a big scam like all of the others to pay for fancy pants to go to conferences and pretend they are a legitimate company providing a service to new people so they can continue taking in money. Same old crypto shit pretty much.

I finally received a refund on my Genesis contacts (10 days after requesting a cancellation and 11 days after my initial purchase.) Genesis refunded all 21.545 btc.

It was not easy dealing with support or IT, but they eventually coughed up the coin. All in all I think I'd have to give GM a generous" C- ". Customer support is mostly awful: waiting on replies for 2 or 3 days. I understand that GM has "100,000 customers" ( probably unhappy ones) but with a  substantial investment, I expect a higher level of service then that of my cable provider.

After failing to reach support for 3 days trying to confirm the cancellation/refund, I sent a message to GM on their Facebook page. They responded with this: " You need to show more patience." Seriously GM!? Go flog yourselves. GM you need to show more fiduciary responsibility to folks who have given you their $$$.

I'm sure I could have been persuaded to keep some of my investment in GM had things gone smoothly, but that's a big nope for me now.

Best of luck to all who have active contracts I hope you all get your ROI. I don't think that GM is a scam; just an org with a lousy business plan, zero transparency and poor implementation.

Wow you were lucky, I think all cloud mining companies do not even have a refund policy. Hashnest allows you to sell hashpower but as the prices keep lowering if you had invested 21.5 BTC in it and then wanted to pull out of it all a few days later you probably would have found that you got far less BTC back than you put in.

I want to invest in Genesis-mining but I am not very sure how it works. When you invest in a one year contract, do you get your principle back after the expiry of the contract?

Hi Babs, i have a one year contract with X11 and how it works is that you pay for the hashpower for a year and then that hashpower is used to mine coins.
After a year it will stop so it is the mined coins that you get back in a year that will determine if you have made a profit or a loss.

They can not give the principle back as the money you pay upfront is for purchasing hashpower for a year and that hashpower is tied to a graphics card which is being reserved to you for a whole year.

What did you do to invoke the refund policy? Is there a clause that allow you to do that? I wonder will this discussion be removed.

I don`t get the problem. You bought a contract and then decided to cancel the purchase the day after and even got the money back and still complain?

User already has written that he had contract for one day then asked for refund.

So no I don't think it means that someone who has had a contract for a very long time will get a refund.

More like GM were being generous than anything else because of the website issues and so it was a goodwill gesture.

For what it`s worth: I have a 100MH X11 contract since 2 weeks and so far I am very happy with it. Don`t know whether I will ROI (in BTC), but I think I have a fair chance and an attractive risk-reward profile from a rock solid company.

As for "scam": I personally know 6 people working in the company and literally everyone of them is a great and honest individual and a good friend. Those guys are long time Bitcoin Pro`s. I have a hard time imagining a better team. I am actually rather sceptical towards mining as an investment, in BTC terms, and I have mined in the past, but I wanted to give it a shot and this is for me 100% the one and only cloudmining operation I`d pick, as it is the only one I`m absolutely sure is not a scam or ponzi or whatever shit there is around.

Biggbox,

GM's 5 day money back guarantee is worded at the top of this page. I don't think you'll be refunded if you've had a contract beyond 5 days. However if you are a US citizen and feel that you are a victim of fraud by GM, I encourage you to contact:

There is no clause, except the 5 day moneyback guaranteed... if you are not happy with the service, you will get a full refund minus the earned coins...

Well I am afraid to state that from the last two days I have been receiving dust payouts from my 10 MH/s x11 contract.

I was receiving genuine payouts  of around 0.001 btc until recently I am receiving dusts of around 0.00001 btc Huh

Please resolve this.
