I believe "This Bit Coin Stuff" can be a force for social change. Bank, Credit Card companies, and all mainstream Financials R threatened. When a country (China) bans participation in an activity U know it must be significant.
As with anything Humans R involved with, "quick buck" artists, scammers, and cheats hamper purists. (Some call it the "Wild WesT"). One "Monkey in the wrenches" can setback those on the "True Path".
The VeriCoin group of Developers and the "Community" they have attracted with their ideas and diligence R on the path the "Great Gift of Satoschi" intended. For me,the social experiment that is Crypto-Currency is a manifestation of freedom which only Digital-Cyber capabilities can provide. But Trust, and Honesty, are the integral imputs, for this financial/commercial experiment to thrive.
To my way of thinking The VeriCoin team is setting a standard for the CryptoCoin Industry to emulate
