Not to burst anybody's bubble but I can pretty much guarantee we won't see 240 GH on the multipool when POW ends. Probably nothing close.

Don't get me wrong its a very interesting idea and I think it will have some success, but in order for the multipool to work, somebody has to be selling their Sync for these altcoins. the multipool doesn't create Sync out of thin air.

So if everybody is holding their Sync and trying to mine on the multipool at the same time we have a problem. The multipool will be reliant on alt coin pumps to increase their value against Sync. This allows them to buy sync cheap. Otherwise they won't be able to exchange them to Sync for a profit (or atleast profits will be reduced). It will be more profitable for the miners just to mine the alt coin and get off the sync multipool.

The only way this multipool works is if people are selling their sync at a cheap rate as well as mining on the multipool.

well you just made the point of multipool very clear.. We do not generate coins (=impossible wit POS), we just make them more expensive!
So if your scenario above comes throug we will be doing very small payouts, but with very high value!
e.. payout 0.00001 SYNC with a value of 100 BTC/Sync  Cool

This is wrong and I think you misunderstood my point. Sync are paid out by the multipool because people are selling them on an exchange. The only way this multipool works is if sync holders sell them for whatever alt coin the multipool mines. Unlikely.

So we are stuck in a scenario where the sync holders will only sell their sync if the alt coins are in a pump and their price is rising in comparison to Sync. Otherwise why would they sell their sync? But if the price of the alt coin is rising, it becomes more profitable to mine the alt coin and NOT exchange it to Sync. So people jump off the multipool. This is why I said the hashrate on the multipool will be significantly lower than during the POW mining stage.
That's the really cool thing about capitalism. There will always be someone willing to sell a commodity for a prize if you only bid high enough. Then that last paid prize becomes the value of all the others.

What ? You're broke ?

WTF are you stalking the thread

perhaps it would be a good idea to post the premine address on the OP?
that will save Mr Lazy up there from having to go back through the thread to find it.

If this guy isn't Hendo, he/she sure acts like him.

Any dev who resorts to asking for donations should be regarded as highly suspect. Especially one who has a premine that is unaccounted for.

Holy shit.. the BE worked this time..

EDIT - LMAO this addy was created on May 20 !!

What's your problem?

Show us the transaction history. Smiley

Lol... I thought you knew more about bitcoin protocol  Grin

Open your Sync wallet and go to transaction history.
Enter my secret paraphrase into the address box and it will give you everything

Paradise is my Lawrenceville

Now theres a new one. lol.. Passphrase THIS ! Tongue

This wouldn't be neccessary if the block explorer was working properly. I have not downloaded the client. Nor do I plan to.

Blocks 1 and 2 show a total payout of 10 coins.

Premine: 0.5%

Is the premine 0.5 or 1% ?

Has anyone checked to see if the coin supply is what the dev claims it to be ?

"42 and Descendents Have Unlimited Coin Supply Hardcoded"

@tom14cat14

If that was the case, then why didn't he mention this when asked, or bother to update the OP ?

No problems with posting his beggar's.. I mean .. donation addy.. Roll Eyes

Quote
5 coins was a tiny premine. I would rather the developers do a premine and use it to further the coin then to have no premine and the developer disappears after the hype dies down.

If he was doing just that and fully transparent about these matters, I would not be complaining.

What do you believe he spent it on ?

You're right but a few outliers overpaying for something isn't going to generate the sort of trade volume needed to sustain that price.  But I'm not really concerned about the price of the coin so much, I think the rarity + POS + zerocoin features will take care of that. I just keep reading posts from people who seem to think 200+ GH is going to make its way to the multipool...its not

He's just a crazy guy. I  transferred the coins including my 0.5 totaling 3 SYNC to Poloniex for Day trading yesterday and it's still sitting there as we speak.

I didn't pay bounties in SYNC because I know the coins are worth way more than the current price so why would I dump it when it's not even 10 BTC yet.

in actual fact, you selling those coins is neither here nor there... that premine is yours to do with what you will , and if the need to sell them to pay bounties is required, then do so. I will continue to support this coin.

I dumped this coin yesterday for 40% profit as soon as it became clear the encrypted addresses only apply to the web block explorer.

I'll wait until there is something working as a lot of coins are promising anonymous but only DRK, MRO AND BCN have it working.

In the long run do you think DRK will be the winner?  MRO is the only other one worth considaring.

DRK is massively premined (something like 20 to 30% of all the coins mined in the first day according to the block explorer). Darksend is also closed source and thus not reviewed by peers. The market cap is now also pretty enormous... each 100% increase in price costs a fortune now. Plus the protocol is not fully anonymous and they are looking to incorporate MRO's ring signatures instead (DRK dev admitted he's working on it).

MRO on the other hand is not premined. The supply curve is a straight line starting from zero as you can see here: http://monerochain.info/charts/coins There's also less than a million coins in circulation. And the market cap is 25 times smaller than DRK.

Since there's virtually no coins out right now that are anonymous and DRK has grown to a massive market cap, it seems logical that any other coin that offers anonymity features is underpriced. Hence the rush of new coins such as SYNC, XLB, XC, promising anonymity features being worked on.

I don't know if MRO will be a winner, but I do strongly believe it's undervalued.

Official multipool of SYNC http://sync.multipoolmining.com is ready for POS period of SYNC

As soon as we hit >1 GHS hashrate i will enable x11coin (XC) mining in the mulipool. It is after SYNC is going to POS, by far the most profitable coin.
Send us your hash now!

We are always interested in tips about coins to add for mining (x11 or scrypt beauties). Please send them by PM for discretion!
All miners and SYNC holders will benefit from your tips.

Not at this very moment, but we will keep developing the multi-pool. Our code is ready for it, but we are with 2 devs only and can do add-ons only step by step!
