Cryptonote and ring signatures have serious issues working smoothly, DRK isn't finished yet either, right now no coin has a highly functioning anon feature, this is the fact. Sorry to see you go though.

In regards to the guy with a pig for an avatar, the dev didn't post a donation address till we asked them to. The block explorer is giving you the premine address correctly which it was moved to, also transparently. I'm setting your account to ignore as I can see you're even giving trolls a bad name.

edit: On top of that it's a developer premine, do you think devs work for free? The only ones that do usually fail or instamine their coins to get a vast majority while using a stealth launch.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I gave him that address yesterday and he's now behaving like a hero who searched the blockchain for premine address.

Please donate to the development fund. It's helps accelerate bounties payment

WTF are you stalking the thread

perhaps it would be a good idea to post the premine address on the OP?
that will save Mr Lazy up there from having to go back through the thread to find it.

If this guy isn't Hendo, he/she sure acts like him.

Any dev who resorts to asking for donations should be regarded as highly suspect. Especially one who has a premine that is unaccounted for.

Holy shit.. the BE worked this time..

EDIT - LMAO this addy was created on May 20 !!

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I would rather have something working with potential, than something that is going to work high functioning but doesn't exist yet. The crypto community is full of empty promises.

However, I will be the first to invest back into this coin when/if the anonymizer is launched.

Good luck guys and ignore people bashing the dev for the tiny premine!

I dumped this coin yesterday for 40% profit as soon as it became clear the encrypted addresses only apply to the web block explorer.

I'll wait until there is something working as a lot of coins are promising anonymous but only DRK, MRO AND BCN have it working.

In the long run do you think DRK will be the winner?  MRO is the only other one worth considaring.

You should really read the whole thread before you bash the Developer. He stated and posted when he moved the premine. It took numerous user asking him to accept donations before he created the address to donate too. People want to make sure he has incentive to keep this coin going. 5 coins was a tiny premine. I would rather the developers do a premine and use it to further the coin then to have no premine and the developer disappears after the hype dies down.

Not to burst anybody's bubble but I can pretty much guarantee we won't see 240 GH on the multipool when POW ends. Probably nothing close.

Don't get me wrong its a very interesting idea and I think it will have some success, but in order for the multipool to work, somebody has to be selling their Sync for these altcoins. the multipool doesn't create Sync out of thin air.

So if everybody is holding their Sync and trying to mine on the multipool at the same time we have a problem. The multipool will be reliant on alt coin pumps to increase their value against Sync. This allows them to buy sync cheap. Otherwise they won't be able to exchange them to Sync for a profit (or atleast profits will be reduced). It will be more profitable for the miners just to mine the alt coin and get off the sync multipool.

The only way this multipool works is if people are selling their sync at a cheap rate as well as mining on the multipool.

well you just made the point of multipool very clear.. We do not generate coins (=impossible wit POS), we just make them more expensive!
So if your scenario above comes throug we will be doing very small payouts, but with very high value!
e.. payout 0.00001 SYNC with a value of 100 BTC/Sync  Cool

This is wrong and I think you misunderstood my point. Sync are paid out by the multipool because people are selling them on an exchange. The only way this multipool works is if sync holders sell them for whatever alt coin the multipool mines. Unlikely.

So we are stuck in a scenario where the sync holders will only sell their sync if the alt coins are in a pump and their price is rising in comparison to Sync. Otherwise why would they sell their sync? But if the price of the alt coin is rising, it becomes more profitable to mine the alt coin and NOT exchange it to Sync. So people jump off the multipool. This is why I said the hashrate on the multipool will be significantly lower than during the POW mining stage.

After the suggestion of adding anonymizer that's when I agreed to look into possibility of adding anonymity and looked right into Monero but it can't work with Sync since it has different algo.

Adding anonymizer will not work overnight and even Darksend is not yet completed from what I know. It will take time to add working anonymity but it is possible.

Within next few weeks, I will confirm what I'm working on.

Edit: We even had higher hashrate than Darkcoin. I believed in Proof-of-Work than Proof-of-Promise

This is why I said the hashrate on the multipool will be significantly lower than during the POW mining stage.

I misunderstood you first time out, too, and was going to comment on it. With this post, I think you hit the nail on the head.

Conversely, people gotta pay bills. So I think it likely the multipool will continue to drive the price upwards as SOME will want to sell. Plus, when it hits the staking stage, people will likely take profit on that, driving the multi as well. Basically, thirty days in is going to be interesting.

That being said, I cannot see the multipool driving price upward very much once POS is fully invested, just a small, steady pressure. Other things need to be in place to keep the value rising. Dev seems to have a lot of things going on for after POW is done, so we'll see. I find the coin very interesting, along with the whole PoS dynamic that seems to be the mania right now. I have some serious reservations about the whole concept, but it's a weird enough thing that it just might work.

I've also seen few launches go as smooth as this one, so that's encouraging as well. Bonus launched real smooth too, but it was obviously a short term coin right from the announcement. Cool ride, but then the carnival leaves. I profited well from it, and now it's dying. I hope this one does much better.

darksend is rubbish, buggy as hell, i'd advise away from it unless you have a very competent dev who can fix all the issues it has.
