Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

switching pools always show a lower hashrate than what it really is. Don't know why, it's just what it is. If your miner is showing a decent connection and you are getting accepts, it will wind up the shift fairly close to your miner's indicated hashrate.

Let the pools update the source. It will get sync and PoS will start.

What pools? most, if not all have shut down, or redirected

I think they are wanting them to mine blocks worth 0 coins.

Yeah. Because last few block didn't get matured. And there was 6 hours difference between last block and PoS. We have to solve some more blocks in order to make those last blocks mature.

So in theory, if lets say, suchpool/dedicated updates wallet and re-enables their pool, we could strat mining to get those blocks to kick things off?

You are right. PoS will start working when the last block (7200th) is matured.

but surely, the minting of mature coins should get things moving again? however if all wallets are OOS, then minting cannot occur? I'm off to work, best luck getting it sorted folk, I hope it's all rectified by the time I get home.
