The code needs to have atomic swaps capability, or in other words at least an upgrade to Bitcoin Core 0.13.2 before it can be listed on AtomicDex.
Clams still has code dating back from before 2015 if I look at the Clam client download on the website which is still the same old shit lmao.

I have no horse in this race.

You can look for a blockchain dev, you should be able to find one for $6k-$10k a month or you can pay task based.

Looks like it is dead. There are 3 open PRs, older than 3 years:
https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams/pulls
and last commit is from 2017. Granted, one of the PR ("Update validation.cpp") probably results in a syntax error for the compiler, but the other 2 look fine and should be merged.

You can pay a hooker too, but that isn't the route I'd prefer to go either.

CLAM is a open source project that anyone can contribute too.

The problem with cryptocurrency (and has been for a while + I'm guilty of it as well to an extent) is that it's FULL of free loading scrubs that are always waiting on everyone else to do everything else and they contribute very little or nothing.

Another thing about CLAM is that the main services are ran by people that can make their own custom clients... and in my point of view... I'd rather a noob, that can't use a hard-to-sync public wallet to use the wallets on FreeBitcoins.com or Just-dice.com.  *shrug*

At least at this point.

Anybody can contribute sure, but nobody is doing it as there's no incentive and nobody cares.

You need a modern easy client to onboard new users and stakers again.  A team, a vision, a roadmap, exchange expansion etc. to get new money in.  Why would someone invest big in this coin? It's all outdated stuff, super risky coin to lose all your money in.

So to revive it you need to spend some money and pay people to get certain things done, combined with people wo do want to contribute for free.  You can't make an omelet without breaking eggs.

But maybe it's good where it is now, it's the old that couldn't compete and had to make place for the new.

Who maintains the claimclient.com server these days? I have been maintaining the domain registration for some years and this week started receiving emails "from cPanel on clamclient.com" stating that AutoSSL will expire in 13 days. Thought maybe there's still somebody here who still has access. As long as the server keeps functioning I'll keep renewing the domain each year.

Hey, you own Clamclient?

Xploited doesn't know who maintains the server stuff.  I went back through it one time and found some traveling chick... I'd assume it was here.

Worst to worst Im sure X can help out or move it or whatever.

Garth, do you have control of SuperCLAM (bitcointalk profile) or the CLAM Twitter?
I still has access over the facebook, and so does meow, so you know.

Still the same open pull requests after a month. And looks like some big whale cashed out in November. So sorry to say this, but I guess now it is really dead. Liquidity for the only remaining exchange is 1 (the lowest possible is 0, goes up to 1000), which means you can't even trade it anymore:

It appears to me that Poloniex has been dumping their CLAMS... sucks, but we will make it through it I strongly believe.

I've been slowly buying CLAMS for years now... still do, yolo. Tongue

And sorry about the "lot pricing" on the CLAM exchange, I hate that shit too, but it works.  It's really complicated to make a trade between two people on an automated system, believe it or not.

What a load of nonsense.  It's a terrible qt-wallet, outdated code.

Accessible coin? No, it's only listed on 1 exchange that nobody knows about and there's no (exit) liquidity. Excuse me, it's also listed on freiexchange which is actually listed on CMC and Gecko which is a big plus. Freebitcoins can't even get listed on CMC and Gecko it seems.

I think you're the one that doesn't get it and is living in lala land lmao.

'ITS BECAUSE BAY AREA COINS IS A ROOKIE SCAMMER WITH NO LIFE Smiley HE COULDNT RUN A LEGIT EXCHANGE HAHA #HAPPYHANNUKAH'

The 42-coin community has been trading on Xchange for a while now. Have experiemced no problems. Have found admin attentive.

Some Confusion: the  mods have deleted two of my posts.

I wanted to note, over on the Clam thread, that I am trying out Clam-trading on Freiexchange

thanks alot for recive problem Smiley
I made an updated bootstrap.dat file for people having trouble syncing their client.

It goes up to block 3953810 which was staked on Thu Jan 20 00:10:07 UTC 2022.

It's available here:

    bootstrap.dat

Download it, put it into the same folder as your CLAM wallet.dat, then restart the client.

If you are using the QT client, it will say "importing blocks" in the lower left corner while the bootstrap.dat file is imported. That is how you can tell that the file is being used. It will take a while to import it, but it will be a lot faster than trying to sync using the p2p network. When it is done, the client will rename the file to bootstrap.dat.old and won't look at it again. Once it has been renamed you can delete it if you like.

To verify that you have the right file its size is 3985995490 bytes and its sha256 hash is 6505337cf604d2cb9feabe271ae6e8154e910fe6e6ed397d97f1a963335e599c.

There is also a folder called 'partial' which contains a collection of smaller files, each with 100k blocks in them.

Download whichever ones you need and either import them one at a time by renaming each one to 'bootstrap.dat' in turn and restarting the client for each, or append them all together into a file called 'bootstrap.dat'.

In Windows you can append the files together by running cmd, and using something like:

Code:
copy /b *00000-*.dat bootstrap.dat

In Linux the command would be:

Code:
cat *00000-*.dat > bootstrap.dat

EDIT EDIT

And Clam is also traded on Frei Exchange. And that is of immediate relevancy to Xchange traders. So a Clam/Frei Trading-Report is relevant:
