Is it true that the price is supported by a flow of noobs? And as soon as this well dries, there will not be a project?

I have not used snapshot of blockchain before, so can you help me with link to guideline on how to use the CLAM's blockchain snapshot?
Thanks for help me with this basic thing.

If the files are in format blkXXXX.dat, you just need to copy it to the CLAM folder (in linux its in ~/.clam, in windows is c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\clam i think) and run clamd with the -rescan option.

But again, i really think you should not use a bootstrap from an unknown source. Fortunately, Dooglus (a CLAM senior member) has a bootstrap available in the following link:
http://s3.amazonaws.com/dooglus/bootstrap.dat

His snapshot is in bootstrap.dat format, so you only need to put it into the clam folder and run it normally. If you are still with problems trying to sync your wallet, you can try to increase the limit of orphan blocks in your clam.conf with this setting:
Code:
maxorphanblocks=xxx
Where xxx is the maximum number. Bigger numbers eat more memory, try not to raise up too much: 1000-3000 might be a good spot

Is there any way to check for the state of the funding? How and where can i send a donation and be sure it really goes to the development of clam?

Not that I know of. If you track upstream a ways, you'll find sporadic posts on the topic by BitcoinNational. As for your last question, I'm not sure why you asked, it's an unanswerable question.

Cheers

Yes, this is true.  You should sell all of your CLAMS to avoid a complete loss.

There is no "CLAM fund" or anything like that.

Xploited works for me, I've offered to pay him 1/2 of his general hourly rate in order to work on CLAMS.  (This is just FreeBitcoins.com donation to him)

Right now Xploited is stuck on a problem that he isn't able to figure out... he's reached out to Dooglus for help.  Dooglus said he will help him, but right now everyone that is in Canada is trying to enjoy their summers and fundless/no-commitment/hobby cryptocurrencies get knocked down from the priority list.

I would guess we have a new wallet by this year that isn't so difficult.  (It should be noted that we all run the CLAM wallet just fine)

Anyone can contribute to this open source project... I can get you more information if you want to see if you can take a crack at it!  Just let me know <3

Blah, sorry about that.

Clamchecker.com redirects to FreeBitcoins.com and FreeBitcoins.com is currently rebuilding our Clam checking tool.

If you go to Just-Dice.com and go to the *CHAT* tab... then type:

/dig address

address= Whatever address you are looking to check.

The technical strength of the CLAMs coin project team is credible to investors, who just need to be a little patient to wait for the encrypted money market to gradually recover.

I agree with you. but my question is why is this clam coin not used by people too much for crypto currency exchangers compared to other altcoins. whereas in my opinion this clam coin includes coins that have a low cost in each transaction. maybe it's true you only need time to be able to return the money market that will gradually recover.

Hi  Smiley
You probably do not have any active connections. All you need to do is add some using the command

Code:
addnode <ip> add

There is a list of active nodes posted here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623147.msg20833340#msg20833340

But it may be outdated. Alternatively, i had set up a list here:

There is panic and fear in the crypto market with major coins like BTC and ETH all going down in price. But a careful look will also show that there are coins weathering the storm. Let's see if CLAM can be one of them.

Why?
Would you mind giving me more detailed clarifications, please.
Are there technical issues with Poloniex?

The coin is going to be delisted from BITTREX

Ironically, I tested my Poloniex account out this morning and it worked perfect.  Losing Bittrex isn't the end of the world and maybe a good thing if it pools more traders in a single place.

Here is my Poloniex Bitcointalk post I made this morning: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=420836.msg45887661#msg45887661

Poloniex exchange has kept giving marginal tradings for CLAM.
Personally, Poloniex exchange is enough for me.
I have strong belief that Poloniex will become a giant one again.

I remember that Poloniex was bought by Circle, a Goldman Sachs-backed company, for $400M. For sure they are improving Poloniex even as we speek. That's a huge investment that says a lot.

Poloniex support:
"Thanks for letting us know that the explorer is back up.  We are currently undergoing unscheduled maintenance with the CLAM wallet.  Our engineers are working to bring this back online as soon as possible."

I'm going to ask them if it is because of dust or not.  Tongue
