You can trade or hold your Clams at BTCPOP - https://btcpop.co/Faucet/?ref=74489 and get staking payouts at the same time. There is a nice faucet also there. Cheers!

I understand you are trying to make a penny or two with your ref link but i don't think users should use an unknown exchange in this day an age.  Here today gone tomorrow sites should be avoided like a plague.

Poloniex is now rubbish and as bad as coinbase. Use https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange
Last time I tried to deposit clam there the deposit didn't credit and the support took a few weeks.
Have you tested deposits / withdraws there?

I tried it, but they ask for 480 confirmations. My coins remained stuck in limbo for 8 hours!  Undecided

btcpop is not an unknown exchange. They are in the scene for a lot of time. But they insist in doing everything, from loan to staking pools and all crypto services in between, but cant manage to do any of the services really good at all

what a nonsense

I dont know if you are saying that im lying or that charging for listing a new coin is wrong, so here is the source link:
Code:
https://crypto-bridge.org/coin-add/

Charging for listing a coin in an exchange is a widespread behavior, but its always hidden from the public. Cryptobridge made it far more obvious than normal, this makes me believe that this practice is slowly being accepted by the public. Being listed in a new exchange gives a huge boost to any coin, and as you saw in clam, being delisted makes the price tank a lot. The market only took the initiative to put a price in these events, based in the size of the exchange and the difficulty to add a new coin, i think.

What makes me a little uncomfortable is the fact that they charge 0,25 BTC to any non-consensus wallet update. I am not an expert, but i think this means that any developer can make an undesirable change to a wallet and pay them to apply it. For POW you need to persuade miners to use the client you developed, but for POS things get problematic here: Exchanges have a lot of coins in their wallets, and exchanges like poloniex controls a lot of the network. If they follow this trend, someone can just bribe exchanges to apply any non-consensus changes they want. Scary  Embarrassed

I'm recommending and trading on: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=CLAM_BTC

They have $5,000 NZD limits per day with only a valid email.

$50,000 NZD per day with ID.

Is this the most updated version? Someone of the official development team should talk to coingecko / coinmarketcap / exchanges. They use this as a way to measure development activity, and most of them are looking to https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams that dont have any commits for more than a year. Maybe this is the reason bittrex delisted clam, and coingecko lists clam so low on the rank even with a relatively large volume of transactions

Update: Dooglus and lordicon are working hard last days
Code:
https://github.com/l0rdicon/defaultcoin/commits/temp

Probably a new client will be released soon!  Grin

Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool
those other ports are individually opened, exclusively to the client that is LISTENING on 31174.
You will have connections to other ports but they open to them only when someone connects to your client through the 31174 port!!!!!

Thats right, post 9160, Read it and Weep

SPOON

PS you can also go into the console within the GUI or through clamd and use the command getpeerinfo. See who you connect to and then move those nodes up in your list so that your client checks to connect them first.because its about a full FIVE minutes before the client gets to the bottom of the list.

AND if your downloading the WHOLE CHAIN don't be a dumbass, leave khashier at the bottom because itll probably cost the person paying for hosting MONEY

I wonder that too! Cuz knowing those morons I can definitely say that they are not capable of doing anything properly.

I've added 100 CLAMS to the weekly prize pool on FreeBitcoins.com's rocket game.  (this makes the game EV+ atm)

https://games.freebitcoins.com/weekly-leaderboard

And I think that the person above me is correct... we absolutely need to be prepping for being delisted off Poloniex, but there isn't any information to indicate they are going to delist clam.  "Better safe than sorry."

Still, no clue why Bittrex delisted CLAM...  We were FAR from the least traded coin on their platform.  O well, life goes on.

Not exactly news, but for anyone searching for an alternative to the exchanges currently listing CLAM, you can take a look at Bitsane

https://bitsane.com/news/post/5b4909a63dae7e6d878b45ea

Disclaimer: I never used and dont have an account at Bitsane

Avoid YoBit at all costs, as CLAM deposits are not working there last time i tried (deposits with 5 days old are still not processed) and support is not replying

Poloniex working as intended

Cryptopia working slowly, as they ask 480 confirmations for every deposit of CLAM
