Just wondering, what happens if one entity gets 51% of the undug keys? Or at least enough keys with more balance then was used back in 2014 for clam mining.
Is possible for this entity to do historical 51% attack with forking the blockchain from the very first day?

What do you mean by:

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

If you dig a .dat at our site and there are still undug addresses on the .dat.

(We are trying to bug test our automated dig system.)

To claim CLAM you must have the private key.  Do you have the private key?  Answer is probably no.  Therefore you cannot claim the CLAM.  The person/entity that has the private key (probably btc-e in this case) can claim them, you cannot.

Should have came to the Just-Dice troll box.  That is the most active live clam spot.

In general this should never happen, unless the coin is all but dead.

Sounds like a problem with your setup, or perhaps an issue with the DNS seeds hard coded into the client.

Actually, looks like the latter...

I wouldn't say that CLAM 'depends' on that particular host being alive, but as you've discovered, it can be difficult to initially join a peer to peer network without any (automated) way to find other peers.

With some obscure coins I've had to resort to using a gigantic addnode list - over 28,000 entries generated from previous successful connects with other coins - in the hope that one of the IPs happens to be running a client for the coin I'm interested in. It has worked!
