Question: Due to big HYPER projects like Poker site, giveaways, competitions, bounties and marketing the 500 000 HYPER MMO Development Fund will be at 450 000 HYPER soon. What should we do?
Keep sponsoring more awesome HYPER projects and spend it down to 400 000 HYPER and then preserve the fund at 400 000 HYPER - 115 (45.1%)
Limit spending (less HYPER projects) until the monthly staking brings the fund back up to 500 000 HYPER - 40 (15.7%)
Manage it how you like. HYPER seems to be going awesome keep it up! - 100 (39.2%)

Hey guys!

Almost there with the web wallet!~ Everything works on the backend. Just finishing up a few more features and writing more tests to ensure everything works as intended including any error handling and logs storage. The plan is to also incorporate 2FA, SSL/TLS, data encryption, automated backups, and other security measures, a few of which have already been implemented. I am putting off the release of the Beta until all of these are complete. Quality comes first! A "Closed Alpha" version will be released in the next week or so with opportunities for testers to earn lots of HYPER. All members of the HYPER community can participate. You won't need to deposit any HYPER, as you will be given real HYPER from the start to use. When all goes well, a "Beta" will be released with opportunities for all testers to earn HYPER until everything works properly under load. This will also be a time when additional features can be implemented.

There are 4 important factors to this wallet that is different from the desktop wallet:
- Easy and fast to use, simple to understand, quick to get started, and can be used on any machine or mobile device without any downloads/installations.
- Anonymous transactions on the blockchain. Your transactions are obfuscated, so no one can tell where and when you spend your coins.
- No energy and resources are used by your computers when running the wallet or earning stakes. Users earn guaranteed stakes daily.
- Users can send HYPER and messages to other users with zero transaction fees.

Great work, thank you!

I wanna test this system.

I think we all do *Sakura*  Grin So awesome that it will be fully usable on all mobile devices, it is basically going to be a mobile, light HYPER wallet that stakes, with fully anonymous HYPER transactions and will make HYPER game integration so much easier for future developments. Very exciting.

A question, will the wallet have the same levels of security as the desktop wallet also or better? Smiley

It is not only more secure but also more efficient than a desktop wallet. Here are some of the reasons:

- a desktop wallet usually has many outside connections, and there are many services running on your computer that communicate through the web. This is a risk which is eliminated for the web wallet. The web wallet is hosted where no extraneous outside connections can connect to it, thus being "cold".
- a desktop wallet is usually not backed up automatically, so when your hard drive crashes, you risk losing your HYPER. The web wallet is backed up automatically many times a day on a machine that is solely dedicated to running the instance.
- a desktop wallet takes up resources on your computer as you run it to stake. Every desktop wallet that is running creates resource expenditure. Not only can it make your desktop more prone to crashing, but it could cost you a higher electricity bill since if you want to stake daily with all your inputs, you may have to leave your computer on constantly while the desktop wallet runs in the background. The web wallet stakes for you without you having the need to run any wallet on your machine(s).
- a desktop wallet does not obfuscate your transactions, while the web wallet will, so someone diving into the blockchain will be unable to tell where you spend your HYPER.

Every time you use your computer where you store your desktop wallet, you risk getting your computer compromised by keyloggers, malware, and hackers. A web wallet improves the security in this regard and moreso when considering you have to leave your desktop wallet open to stake. Of course, you are welcome and encouraged to run your own desktop wallet. And personally, I feel most if not all computer users who are comfortable using a computer or browsing online will have no trouble being careful, and nothing is likely to happen. But, it's still a risk regardless.

Great to heard it is coming up good.. A API would be great, so I could integrate my RPG with Hyper.

That's a great idea! Can you let me know some more info about your RPG? Hopefully meowball can work on adding an API for easy HYPER game integration next Wink They are working on source plugins to make it easy for game server admins to integrate automatic HYPER withdrawals and deposits and perhaps this will include an API on the web wallet to integrate with any kind of game would be ideal. Perhaps this is already being planned meowball will be able to tell us for sure, but I like your thinking.

Yes, an API is in the timeline. The source game server plugins can't actually use an API/web service, so a special solution has to be created that is being worked on.

When compiling the wallet for linux:

Code:
walletdb.cpp: In function ‘bool DumpWallet(CWallet*, const string&)’:
walletdb.cpp:737:16: error: aggregate ‘std::ofstream file’ has incomplete type and cannot be defined
walletdb.cpp: In function ‘bool ImportWallet(CWallet*, const string&)’:
walletdb.cpp:795:16: error: aggregate ‘std::ifstream file’ has incomplete type and cannot be defined
make: *** [obj/walletdb.o] Error 1

This is the first time I get this error with a coin (200+ compilations on a standard server base for wallets).
Any help appreciated.

The HYPER wallet has advanced coin control features.

Just go to settings -> options -> display (tab) -> display coin control

I hope that answers your question. Coin age should be easily viewable in coin control. Personally I don't use these features as coins stake every 24 hours so it is not like you have to wait long and carefully make sure you don't reset coin age on some coins by mistake Wink

If you would like staking weight more easier to be displayed I can ask PalmDetroit to include this in the next QT wallet release. We are constantly working on the next releases.

Well PalmDetroit can add that to the next HYPER QT wallet no problem Wink I will add it to the development list it looks good.

You can still see coin age with the coin control option on in the wallet we have now too.
