Hey guys!  This is monbux from bitcointalk, and I am offering escrow services for the crypto community. The I charge a minimum of a 1% tip off the transaction with the minimum being 0.01 BTC. The fee for ICOs are negotiable, PM me to discuss more!

I've been an active member of the crypto community since 2013 and started offering escrow services in 2014. I've conducted thousands of successful transactions, many of them being ones in which I was the middleman.

The clients will be able to choose how the funds will be held.  By default, the buyer/client will be sending bitcoins to an address on a trezor hardware wallet (which is basically un-hackable).

How to Start the Transaction with Escrow

1. PM me OR post here (best if you do both) with a short explanation of your trade (what you're trading, who you're trading with).

2. I will start a group PM with all members participating in the trade and ask for confirmation from all parties of the trade details.  If you have any terms to mention, do it now before the escrow (me) signs the message.

3. Follow the instructions on the PGP signed message I provide.  What happens now obviously differs trade from trade as for they are different.

4. Most likely, a safe transaction would happen and both parties will receive what was initially agreed on.  

5. If a dispute were to arise, the transaction process would be halted and I will act as the mediator (and judge) and release the BTC and/or other goods to the party/parties with the most concrete (strongest) evidence and reasoning.  I will remain neutral throughout the dispute.

High volume transactions are way cheaper than paying depositing , trading and withdrawal fee. All of that 2 times.

Many escrows will offer a flat rate for deals.

monbux asked me to provide full terms of the deal and conditions. i also gave him the Skype chat logs where I was talking with the dev.

Finally, the dev didn't meet the criteria, and did about 10% of the work at the project deadline time. Dev wanted to release 50% of the escrow to keep working.

Due to all this, I decided I don't want to be in business anymore with that dev, so monbux sent me my deposit back after I explained to him what was going on.

Hello NoobKidOnTheBlock,

Basically I would hold onto the altcoin(s), or an escrow address that I have full control over.  Neither you nor the lender will have access to the collateral UNLESS you default, the loan is completed, or both parties have come to an agreement.  Simply PM me with the loan details and terms and I'll help out as needed to keep both the lender and lendee safe.

The definition of "trust" on this forum is if/when you have had a successful trade with a user.  Trust rating just for loans is quite dangerous, as for all we know, the user could just be building trust for the ultimate scam.  Of course, if you are always willing to provide a valid collateral, then this shouldn't be a problem!

HOW TO START THE TRANSACTION WITH ESCROW:

1. PM me OR post here (best if you do both) with a short explanation of your trade (what you're trading, who you're trading with).

2. I will start a group PM with all members participating in the trade and ask for confirmation from all parties of the trade details.  If you have any terms to mention, do it now before the escrow (me) signs the message.

3. Follow the instructions on the PGP signed message I provide.  What happens now obviously differs trade from trade as for they are different.

4. Most likely, a safe transaction would happen and both parties will receive what was initially agreed on. 

5. If a dispute were to arise, the transaction process would be halted and I will act as the mediator (and judge) and release the BTC and/or other goods to the party/parties with the most concrete (strongest) evidence and reasoning.  I will remain neutral throughout the dispute.

HOW TO START THE TRANSACTION WITH ESCROW:

1. PM me OR post here (best if you do both) with a short explanation of your trade (what you're trading, who you're trading with).

2. I will start a group PM with all members participating in the trade and ask for confirmation from all parties of the trade details.  If you have any terms to mention, do it now before the escrow (me) signs the message.

3. Follow the instructions on the PGP signed message I provide.  What happens now obviously differs trade from trade as for they are different.

What is escrow service?

Guys. Come on. It's 2017, we are better than this. The PGP message is not even in the right format. I'm sorry for the victims but consider it an expensive lesson. You guys should be asking yourself questions before sending coins to strangers on the internet (that includes the escrows). Always request for a PGP signed message if you're unsure if you're talking to the real person. Please do not send your coins blindly.

What is escrow service?
Escrow service explained with simple words: Me (as your escrow) holds the buyer payment (Bitcoins).
Once the payment is protected by escrow (me in this case) the seller can ship the item or deliver the digital goods.
Once the buyer receive his goods and confirm they are working as they should be, coins can be released to the seller.

Lol danos has had a lot of accusations about scamming and also incredibly dodgy, and may also have other accounts. Ill recommend dealing with someone else.

BTW, might be too good to be true, 1.5 btc for a loaded cas is quite high and rarely offered.

What happened was the scammer sent a signed message that was already in the keybase of the real monbux.

It was signed in September 2014. I suggest you only deal with escrow services on the forum and not Telegram going forward.

The real @monbux should change the title of this thread to INACTIVE and lock it as scammers pretending to be him have now stolen far more BTC than he made acting as an escrow during the last 2-3 years.

If you ever receive a Telegram message about using monbux as an escrow, it is a scammer! The person you are chatting with is a scammer, and the person pretending to be monbux on TG is a scammer.

Monbux is no longer an escrow. If somebody contacts you on Telegram claiming to be Monbux, they are a scammer.

The real Monbux needs to lock this thread as its only purpose for the last couple years has been to help scammers.

It's a bit irresponsible of him to continue leaving the thread unlocked at this point.

I'm going to red tag Monbux until he closes this thread as a warning for those who talk with scammer impersonators on Telegram or email.

Some possess the ethos that it is better to let people be scammed as to let natural selection run its course and weed out the weak, but I am not such a person.

Fact: Monbux hasn't performed an escrow deal on the forum for a year and a half. Even though they log in from time to time their lack of communication in this thread renders them ipso facto inactive.

I took a hiatus from Bitcointalk and cryptocurrency over the past few years and am saddened to come back to see so many impersonators successfully scamming multiple users on here. I've posted multiple warnings over the past few years about impersonators - I have never used or owned a Telegram account and will never email you first.

It's really frustrating to read the recent posts here to know that if I had set this thread to INACTIVE/CLOSED, certain scams may have been prevented. I deeply apologize for not being more proactive - life got in the way and I've been inactive in this community since 2018.

That being said, you need to be extremely cautious when dealing with strangers on the internet. I have never mentioned that I use Telegram, so not sure why people are so trusting of someone with the same name there, without receiving verification from my account on bitcointalk. I've posted multiple warnings over the past few years, including in the OP regarding scammers and impersator activity.

PGP messages have no use if you don't know how to verify them. Conduct due diligence when engaging in transactions online, make sure you get confirmation AT THE SOURCE.

Hello, so I've been trading from a person on telegram named @visesento (he is the scammer). We both agreed on the deal, 1000$ movocash for 350$ btc. As we both were unsure about trustness, he offered to hire Monbux. We both wrote an email to him, asking if he can help us to trade safely. Provided details, offer and our telegram ID's. Putting this message in it shows, that the message is signed by monbus (?) . So this is where I fucked up, not sure how this works.

Thanks @nutildah for explaining - yes, it seems like this is a PGP message I signed 6+ years ago with my old address (1Q2CupiU5DfWupRGBQ66QYRqvxoNxGZCcn). It shows as verified because the scammer put the text "Monbux Bitcointalk, [04.07.20 20:00]" OUTSIDE the PGP signed message, so it was ignored by the verifier. Try putting anything outside of it and it'll verify, since the verifier only reads in between the
