do you need to have the r-pi to be able to control the rx-box?

BFGMiner 4.2 released with ROCKMINER R-BOX support. Smiley

+1

same commands as cgminer?
No, BFGMiner has a standard interface for all drivers. So something like:
Code:
bfgminer -S rockminer:all --set rockminer:clock=290

Edit: Also note that if you were using cgminer, you had to use Zadig, which breaks the official drivers. You will need to undo this (and restore the original driver) before BFGMiner will work.

How does one go about "undoing" the use of Zadig and restore the original drivers? Thanks!

just reinstall the original driver or you can use the zadig tool to revert back to original driver.  in my experience, reinstalling driver is cleaner.

BFGMiner 4.2 released with ROCKMINER R-BOX support. Smiley

Thanks for Luke's support and excellent job, what he did is very important to promote R-BOX and bfgminer.
Welcome guys to use R-BOX in bfgminer system.

Yes, it is!  Can you take a look at Luke's and mine request to set the properties in the chip set to identify the product and the manufacturer.
this will help all miner software in the long run, not just bfgminer.

Has anyone gotten this working properly on Raspberry pi? -S rockminer:all doesn't work, going into device manager and saying "rockminer:/dev/ttyUSB0" doesn't work either.

If you ran cgminer, ensure /dev/ttyUSB0 actually exists - rebooting usually works.
Otherwise, please pastebin the output from:
Code:
bfgminer -S rockminer:all -d? -D

Curiouser and curiouser. It seems like it knows rockminer devices are there but doesn't detect them as as devices?

http://pastebin.com/E50PvhGw

I might have other issues going on though because bfgminer also crashed thusly when I tried to launch it again.

Code:
/opt/minepeon/bin/bfgminer: symbol lookup error: /opt/minepeon/bin/bfgminer: undefined symbol: blkmk_append_coinbase_safe2

Maybe I screwed something up when compiling it. I'll try again when I get home troubleshooting through SSH makes me antsy.

pretty much anything that can run an instance of latest bfgminer can control it...

This is confusing, so you have three now: R-box, RX-box AND RK-Box? Web site does not show RK-Box.
Hashing and power parameters differ between RX-BOX on your web site and RK-Box shown here.
I feel exactly the same!
I'm a bit lost with "RX-box" and "Rocket-Box":
Rx-Box : http://shop.rockminer.com/goods.php?id=34
Rocket (RK)Box: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2923/14212461298_e0344c32e5_b.jpg

According to me, "Rocket box" is what you shown on Youtube video, and RX-box is 33% more powerful and is garanteed about ROI.

Can you detail differences from a technical point of view, then on other things?

What would be the price of Rocket?

Actually, this is 8 times more powerful , or at least in term of acoustic pressure (field/amplitude) 2.8 times!  Tongue

7KG for 450GH at 480W before PSU I'm assuming AND 65dB? My my...I'm so proud of my SP10 now!

I'm interested to know what kind of fan this uses and if it will be replaceable with a quieter fan.

lol @ noise being a decisional factor.

Good one.

for some, it is (at least partially)
For those older than 20 you have to consider WAF or GAF (wife acceptance factor or girlfriend acceptance factor).
I can attest that both S1 and S2 have OK WAF, as long as they are NOT in the same room.
Sp-10 is known to have a low WAF/GAF as long as it is NOT in the locked basement or remote garage.

Looks more like a power issue to me.

I'm not sure how MinePeon sets up libblkmaker, but you can probably compile using --with-system-libblkmaker to use its version.

74dB Sp-10 is about twice as loud as 65db, i never heard either, mind you.

The dB factor is the last one because the other stats are more important. In order to get 1.5Th/s you will need 3 spaghetti monsters which will bring you to 21kg, 1350GH, 1440w before PSU and 65dB x3.

If the fans are replaceable then dB should not be an issue.

And I don't think anyone really cares about the weight.

More weight will mean higher shipping fees, but don't worry people don't care about dB, about weight, about power efficiency, about stack-ability, about having 100 cables in their miner, about anything and AM will sell their 60PH in just 2 months and we can all celebrate then a safer bitcoin network.

I would have bought Sp-10 if not for their cbcm deal which used up all of the stock. Bought Sp-30, but it will be here in September.
S1's are using too much power and S2 I am not entirely satisfied with due to hardware problems. If Spond has nothing to ship right now, someone will fill the CURRENT void.

Good thing you won't need to order directly from the manufacturer so shipping won't be so expensive.

People don't care about 1-2 extra kg (we have flat rate shipping in 'merica), or having extra cables, or needing shelves to stack. (this is clearly for the home miner. Not for DC use.)

The average miner cares about $/gh and w/GH. And it looks like rockminer will deliver on both. (and before you claim ~13% extra efficiency justifies paying double the price, no it does not.)

Not sure of this, they work with the custom cgminer and all the same hardware.
You'd know better than me though. I'll try one at a time.
Thank you very much for your help.

But it's 7kg extra, not 1-2kg. And 13% extra efficiency is BEFORE PSU so in the end it's more than 13% extra efficiency.
