FYI:
I was able to delete my FIMK password from DGEX. Apparently they have a script issue if you try it in Chrome. But, it worked correctly in FireFox.
thank you for this info! i was trying to delete my passphrase multiple times and getting frustrated. ffox did the trick.

Am I on a fork?
I'm stuck 80 blocks behind and dont seem to be catching up. I just stay 80 behind. Also my balance and forging are reading higher than the reporting at the Fimk blockchain site
Any thoughts on this behavior?
Thanks

it is still generating blocks. and as i look at it, it is actually catching up, just insanely slowly. now i'm about 75 blocks behind. so it gains a block every few mins. seems like that isnt synching right. perhaps i'll restart my machine and the console.
im at block 16539 as of this writing, about 75 blocks back.
edit: 16539 ID: 14799672264195579729
i also did a small test transaction to another FIM account i have. that transaction DID show up in the live blockchain, so i think thats a good sign?

Any details on how this works. Since it is one way? Is there one channel that the full blockchain will be transmitted on over and over, and another that will just send updates? So, you listen to one, get the full block chain, then listen to the other for updates?
Full blockchain is not going to be transmitted at least not in the test phase that has low bandwidth. Just new transactions after the receiving node has been loaded with the blockchain through another way. How this is going to be synced is the technical partner's cup of tea. Not really. They started with bitcoin which is their major interest technically, so the site was written for that before we came in. But they are tech people less interested in pushing the bitcoin side anywhere. And you know the tech itself isn't just going to be picked up by the benevolent aliens. FIMKrypto on the other hand has great ambitions to push application of the system, so Bitcoin will benefit from our efforts as well.

Sounds like you are fine. Are you having network issues? Yea, restarting the server won't hurt.

Amazed the price has not moved today with the announcement. People just don't get it. Implications are HUGE. A wireless Point-of-Sale system using broadcast digital TV signals which covers 95% of Finland??? Finally, a plan to break out of this cryptoworld bubble.
I'll say it only once: Everyone has had opportunity to get FIMK at great prices. Don't come back here in 6 months whining that we were all 'lucky' or somehow it's unfair.
Get it NOW!
I would have agreed with you at first, but (don't take it as fud) article tells about broadcasting transactions, not making a `point-of-sale` yet. Plus it tells about bitcoin + fimk, not just fimk. Plus, as I read yesterday, there is a law in Finland which provides every citizen with 1mb internet channel. So it is like everyone in Finland is `connected`. So I don't fully understand the reason for TV broadcasting of crypto transactions.

Can you tell me what is wrong with Bitcoin that is now fixed in Fim? I do hope all good for Fim because I'm getting them for free every month since I'm Finn, so don't get me wrong and think I hate Fim, I'm just wondering why you hate Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is PoW. That could be a problem for it that couldn't be solved. But most of the people(including me) can't predict it for sure.

Isn't it even easier to 51% attack with Fim? Wouldn't it be possible right now? Blocks 16191 and 16192 were made by same person... If some big account buys more Fims it would be very easy to get multiple blocks in row.
Well, just at the moment, it is impossible to buy 51% of Fimk. Just because amount of offerings is less than even 10%. In future - yes, but it is most probable that to buy 51% you will have to pay >100% of total price. So holders will not suffer from it

why some people do not want FIMK exchanged on bter. 563 down-vote. For nearest pretenders it is cheaper to down-vote a competitor than to up-vote themselves.

So I don't fully understand the reason for TV broadcasting of crypto transactions. I think this is a beautiful piece of engineering. Blockchain is disseminated (payments received) via radio broadcast to millions without internet. Payments can be made via mobile/callphone SMS/TXT messages and a custom app. This could really help FIM adoption in places like Africa where the Internet infrastructure is limited yet cryptocurrency is most useful. This strategic alliance between FIM and Kryptoradio is very synergistic with the 100 FIM / month paid to Finnish citizens. Overall this latest development is very innovative and has boosted my confidence about the FIM developers and organisers.

There was some confusion among forgers suddenly forging less blocks than expected. For these people (and others) we've added a stats page to the blockexplorer that shows what account forged how many blocks in a period. http://explorer.fimk.fi/blocks/stats/0/0If you are suddenly forging less blocks than expected/normal it is advised to delete your blockchain and restart the FIM client.

I also see that I furge not so many blocks anymore. I was able to forge 4 blocks (800 FIM) in the first 6500 blocks or so: and I only have about 25k FIM. After that I wasn't Lucky anymore! No more forged blocks for me? How come?

No more forged blocks for me? How come? When you started forging the total amount of stake was much lower. If you look at the current stats you'll see one account with 16K forged a block in the past 2880 blocks, all other forgers have a stake starting at 30/50K and higher. Eventually you'll forge a block but with 25K it will take longer.
