Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Are there directions somewhere for upgrading from the old wallet, been away from crypto for over 3 weeks, which is like being a complete newbie again. I have old piggycoins and old wallet and need to upgrade. Also, anyone know if the coins on the exchanges were converted to the new coins or not? I have some on Bittrex.

The ones on Bittrex were not converted automatically. You need to send them to Coinking for conversion - I think you should be able to find the instructions easily enough here or on the Piggy website hopefully.

There is currently a small issue with PoS that will be updated soon that will increase amount of PoS payouts (currently not giving full 15% per year). But the reason you only stake 11k is because of your deposit size.  It always stakes each deposit seperately.  Sometimes you may even see it stake more then one block at a time with more then one stack of coins (if all of your deposits were around 11k then everytime you stake it will be 11k per block staked)

We need to move this coin really really higher, its not good to let the price low and the topic with not much move. A lot of us know that dev is working and will work but not all the people who come to this topic.

Repairing the pos system is the first important thing to do.

Then communicate much more about the coin and finding investors and the community.

The PoS system is repaired. Testing and final touches being implemented.  There will have to be a hard fork unfortunately (due to the change in the PoS system).

So there will be a MANDATORY wallet release soon. Keep your eyes peeled Smiley

Also lots to come for the Pig Smiley Don't think anyones given up on this one just yet. Smiley.  Glad to see the weak hands have dumped but we do need the support.

There will soon be another multipool I personally think will do MUCH better for piggy.  Not a big fan of current option, soon we will have a much better option Smiley.

Piggy will get the support it needs with time Smiley.  Just gotta make it happen.  The community is part of the solution.  Start handing out free piggy and inviting everyone you know!  We will all prosper in time Smiley

The premade linux client not starts for me on latest Debian.

renaming it does not help

Those look amazing!!

http://i.snag.gy/Hxmrn.jpg

-I can imagine these being included in Toys etc..
-Used as rewards in schools etc..

They can easily be handed out in the street/outside a school to promote the coin very well, or even posted through peoples door for mass promotion.

Nice work dev, i see future for this coin Smiley

I would like to say that as a believer in Piggycoin, I purchased a voucher. I received it within a week, with a bonus. I am a Ebayer, so I had funds in Paypal to purchase. I do believe the vouchers are a great promotion as one said, I get that it probably cost more to print than any true value. I say this with a honest heart, as I believe in the future. I welcome anyone to pm me with any doubts.

Guys, I've been testing the PoS solution (it's been proving harder to do than I first thought) and I'm thinking about starting something called "new piggyweek", basically a piggyweek 2.0 has some of you requested. This will bring massive amounts of attention to us as it did previously Smiley.

I'm now in the process of getting the final anns together but I'm not promising any dates.

Good news!  I like this coin after recently hearing about it I think it could have some potential to last for a while and be useful.  I'm looking forward to learning more about what the plans are for Piggycoin.  Going to give staking my coins a try now and check out the walllet.  Wink Wink

Piggydev,
It is very hard to find the piggy coin store.
You really need to get the website updated and
easy to navigate to. People can't find what they
can buy with their piggy coins.

I'm gonna announce a new piggyweek soon, maybe tomorrow or the day after that, it would be awesome if you guys helped hyping it up.
The wallet fix is coming but is giving me a little of a headache since I was testing a working fix and it stopped working for no reason.
