I'm no developer, but I've started to see on the news lately about Apps, that let parents set tasks for their kids, and in return, the kids can earn credits, be it pocket money, time on the internet etc.....
Imagine an App installed on the parents phone, and also on the kids tablet / phone, where the parents can set the tasks (clean bedroom, do homework etc) and in return, when the tasks are completed, the kids are rewarded with piggycoins.
Just a thought.....
wow great idea ... I'd be willing to donate to get this done

I agree that is a great idea. I can see little kids working for something of value like this, I just think the coin will need some clever marketing and uses to attract the younger audience.

This idea can be the first to be featured in that future ANN I think this would be best if integrated into the piggycoin web bank. That way parents, relatives, or even trusted neighbors could offer piggycoin for raking leaves, shoveling snow, etc. Remember, the paper route? It is no more. Kids need a way to earn and learn to work. Piggy fits the bill. PS: Don't forget a donate page like coinbase! - UnklAdM https://coinbase.com/unkladm

No, a bug is bad. A random % is bad. But I do agree that 15% interest was chosen and is too much. It should have been 2% like you get at a bank, CD, or bond.

It should have been 2% like you get at a bank, CD, or bond. That would be great, if the community supports it. P.S. It's not random %, I'm consistently getting the same amount of coins throughout the day.

I did a bit of back-reading, looking at what happened the last time Piggycoin announced piggyweek.
It was interesting to see the market jump up from somewhere around 15 sat, to 120ish sat the following day, before eventually peaking around 250 sat during piggyweek announcements.
There's some serious gains to be made here I reckon, I'm surprised more people aren't starting to see this just yet.

I have old piggycoins and they are stuck on the piggy.chickenstrips.net pool. The auto payout is not working nor the manual payout. Who can I contact to get the old swapped to new coins?

Piggy will go high. People whoses are selling now are crazy. Just need some dev update and the piggy week to begin to see some good price Its insanely low compared to what it can be. we can go higher to 500 if everyone communicate and help.

Yes ... Im thinking we could take out the 250 high and possibly hit 500 Remind me to put my sell order in.... But seriously, the PoS interest bug is still hanging around after what, two weeks? And instead of fixing that, we're hearing about Piggyweek 2.0? I think the order of priorities is messed up here. Some are saying it's off by 100X, others say it's off by 10X. My own calculations suggest it's off by more than 10X, but how much more I'm not certain. And it does appear to be scaling according to some factor; look at these transactions. I moved all of my coins to a new address as a test; four days later a PoS block was mined, so after 4 days of staking the adjusted interest should be 0.1644%. For 212202 PIGGY that would be 348.8 PIGGY in interest, but what I received was only 0.82116963 PIGGY, so it was off by a factor of 425X! I've tried to find where the scaling is taking place but can't seem to locate anything. Regardless, this is messed up so bad that the only thing you're going to teach parents and kids trying to learn about cryptocurrencies is that the developers can't be trusted. If your spec sheet is wrong, or if the code implements the spec sheet incorrectly, this is a huge problem -- like Asiacoin and Whitecoin huge. But everyone here is drinking the Kool-Aid and patting themselves on the back for being so wise as to have bought/mined PIG/PIGGY.
