My wallets doesn't seem to sync. Someone experiencing the same?

My wallet is synced.

Are you sure that you are using the new PIGGY, and not the old PIG?  The old PIG is gone now.  Piggydev (piggycoin here) will convert your wallet from PIG to PIGGY if you send it to him.

If you are using new PIGGY, what version wallet are you using?

Has anyone else noticed the price of Piggy creeping up these last few days?

Someone's certainly interested in buying up a LOT of the market

Yup, someone has been buying it up slowly for days now.  Not much selling either.  I know because I have a few buy orders in that haven't been filled in over a week, so not a lot of dumpers.  Usually that's a pretty good sign of things to come Smiley

The changeover period for PIG->PIGGY has passed.  Please contact piggydev (the user piggycoin here) to arrange a manual changeover.

Hmm?  It's always been working.  But the interest rate has been lower than expected.

really? I haven't had a mined transaction since 8/2, but just got one on 9/14...is this due to the interest? Seems the staking should still occur and result in mined transactions, just a lower interest amount, right?

That's odd, I have had a lot of mined transactions in that time.  Did you perhaps forget to unlock your wallet?   Huh

the wallets on the website state:
Windows v1.1.6
Mac v1.0
Linux v1.1.5

I am using a Mac wallet...is this up-to-date, as there is no lock function?

The market is handling 30+million coins mined per day. Once POS and multipool hit, we should watch out!

That's the latest Mac wallet version.  It seems PiggyDev had trouble getting the latest source to compile on the Mac.  A member of the PiggyTeam has just tried to compile the latest version from source on a Mac and was unsuccessful :-/

However, the version you are using apparently does have locking functionality.  You have to 'encrypt' the wallet first, and then an 'unlock' option will appear in the settings menu.

thanks greenmo, I think that explains the lock function. I built the linux wallet, it has some nice features so I will play around with that, too. FiniteRed, I don't think this coin is a lost cause.  Wink

PiggyCoin News Update 18th Sept 2014

Fixing interest rate/staking

Work has proceeded slower than expected.  An external dev was working on it, but he got distracted by higher-paying work and didn't finish!

Fortunately, the PiggyTeam is working on the issue having acquired additional developer strength.  Presently it seems likely that we will go with a 6% yearly interest rate.

Web, Android wallets

These are now being actively worked on by an external dev supportive of the PiggyCoin project.  The web wallet is almost completed.

Khan Academy

The PiggyTeam’s neurocis is an opportunity architect.  What does that mean?  We don’t know either, but that’s what it says on his Twitter account.

He's architecting an opportunity whereby you can get paid PiggyCoins for learning at Khan Academy.  Check it out: http://www.piggy-coin.com/amillionreasons-youcanlearnanything-khanacademy/

The PiggyCoin Foundation

The PiggyCoin Foundation is waiting to sell the PiggyCoin it has raised, before donating to the charity 88bikes.  The price is so low at the moment, it seems senseless to sell them now.

Pre-mine

All of the pre-mine is still remaining, but we can't really use it effectively at the moment, for similar reasons.

Future plans

We have many ideas!  But one reasonably firm thing, is that qawap of the PiggyTeam is planning to work with the web/Android wallet dev to get a small multiplayer game made, after the web and Android wallets are done.  It’ll be related to PiggyCoin in some way; perhaps you can earn PiggyCoins by playing.

Voting

Voting for PiggyCoin on various services helps present PiggyCoin in a good light, even if we don’t win the vote.

It should be synchronising fine then.  I have 13 connections.

Here are some nodes you might want to add, although this really shouldn't be necessary:
