That is interesting. Can you confirm that you are able to successfully deposit or withdraw on Poloniex? If so, can you share a transaction ID, or at least a timestamp?

no ... and 15 XEM fee is too much for just testing Smiley

Here is the Poloniex hot wallet

There are quite new transactions ... are the timestamps new enough ?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Good information. Thanks! It does appear that some of these deposits are coming from other exchanges.
Now if anyone using Polo can verify that they have made a deposit or withdrawal and successfully been able to access the XEM.

Yes, there was a stuck around 24hrs on Polo, but ca 12 hours ago my deposit of XEM has been successfully completed. Dtto abucoins.com works (worked) like a charm, has been successfully tested yesterday.

Offline: They are not connected to any nodes. Trade can still happen within their system, but you cannot make XEM deposits or withdrawals.
All major exchanges: Bittrex, Huobi, Zaif, HitBTC, Cryptopia, etc, etc.

ok...
just wondering if there are any conditions for "offline",
coz for example Poloniex's account has disabled Withdraw and Deposit for FLDC, BCN, STEEM but not for XEM ...

now it is disabled also for XEM

I hope hope picks up some more traction this year. I think NEM has the ability to scale enough for many applications today. I still feel there is work to be done but I have visited their github and they are a active team. Hope to see more this coming year.

Catapult hopefully will get released this year, which could accelerate adoption.

NEM Wallets:
All exchanges still have their NEM wallet offline. Cryptopia shows theirs as online, but it is not. NEM foundation still quiet.
NEM living up to it's reputation. No champagne, caviar, or anticipated news. Just hard work and quiet encouragement.

NEM Prices Update:

Japan leads the way with bullish trading, trying to overcome global bearish sentiment. Zaif Exchange XEM prices often plow ahead of other exchanges by as much as 6 cents before meeting resistance.
Cryptopia the slowest to respond to price changes, allowing for great buying opportunities.
Rumors of Binance to offer NEM arise once again, giving slight boost. However this is unlikely to happen until NEM wallets come back online.

Bitcoin Price Update:

"Tokyo Whale" dumping BTC on the market is the main contributing factor to BTC price drop.
Binance trade bot dumps alt coin, causing rumors that they were hacked, leading to panic sells. - They were not hacked, and the malicious trade bot issue was resolved very quickly, with all unauthorized trades revoked.
SEC statement least of anyone's worries right now.

What kind of happy pills are you on?  You do realize BTC is in a bear market which means all cryptos including XEM are done for a while.  Do you live in a bubble?  You really think radio silence from Lon Wong is something to be applauded as everyone that would like to dump their XEM before BTC shits the bed can't?

Everything you said was discussed. Quoting others for no reason just pushes relative information back farther. But, if you must...  Roll Eyes

*Edit* I decided to be the super nice guy that I am and answer all these questions again.
1. All exchanges NEM wallets ARE offline. It's a fact. They have been for some time before you posted. You obviously made the transaction before they went offline. Therefore, talking about your specific case is pointless.
2. Work-arounds are never great. And nobody loves cryptopia. To suggest the Buy 50k Sats Trick is part of an agenda is ridiculous! They don't even have harvesting active on their NEM wallet. And with many cryptos, the claim that "they are staking our coins", has been debunked several times.
3. Customer support for cryptopia sucks. (Old News) This is why people use these forums to learn the tips n tricks. Spamming hate and accusations just clutters things.
4. Why don't they fix their system? - They do. They are fixing things everyday. I gave a basic rundown a few posts back about their constant issues with crapcoins, and how it affects quality projects like NEM. My posts can only be helpful if you read them.
5. Is this because of the stolen XEM? - Since every exchange has their NEM wallet offline, and we have not heard from the NEM foundation regarding this issue. We can only speculate.

"All exchanges NEM wallets ARE offline"

What do you mean by "offline" ?
What do you mean by "All" ?

Bittrex has theirs down for maintenance, but Poloniex wallet is online.

As far as Cryptopia, DONT USE THEM!
There are several people threatening legal action against them, going by some posts ive read.

Cryptopia wallet is syncing up right now! I see lots of node connections, and block height is growing. Maybe soon I can withdraw my precious XEM.

*Edit* Cryptopia wallet stuck on block 1538300. Undecided
*2nd Edit* Cryptopia wallet is synced up, and should be working now. Can anyone verify if withdrawals or deposits work? And if you had any "stuck" coins, did they show up?

Hyjinx is as smart as a hole in the mud.
Aaaand. The Tokyo Whale is dumping BTC again! If you don't know who he is, I suggest you google the term. Bitcoin is not in a bear market, Bitcoin is in a Tokyo Whale market.

Thanks for the tip about the Tokyo Whale. I sold off a small amount of BTC a day before it crashed and was wondering about a good time to re-enter. It looks like he has plenty more to sell. However, it also looks like he's not interested in totally crashing the market either as he'd like to sell at 10K as much as possible.

Cryptopia now stuck on block 1538484. Reports of transactions missing despite lower block height.

I've read several articles about exchanges built on the nem blockchain, as well as exchanges focusing on creating a marketplace for nem mosiacs. Similar to IDEX, but for NEM, not ETH. Here is one article about an aussie exchange.
Alohaboy may have been referring to something along these lines when mentioning "exchange release."

Catapult has been in beta testing on the private mijin chain since 2017. In Feb 2018, extensive testing was done to confirm it is suitable for use. Read here. The testing resulted in a very positive conclusion, with no errors or inconsistencies when processing 3k transactions per second, confirming it's suitability for commercial application.
Additional testing is currently being done to ensure maximum security. When testing has completed, it is set to be released to the public with open source licensing, and implemented on the public NEM blockchain.

I see lots of people complaining that the Catapult release has been pushed back several times, but I haven't seen anywhere where it was said that full implementation of catapult on the public chain was going to occur before 2018. I do however find information suggesting it's implementation in Q1 of 2018. Which would mean, by the end of March. However, the testing with mijin has been stated to continue to April. - Whether that means sometime in April, or before April. I don't know.

All in all, there is speculation about when exactly Catapult will be rolled out. With NEM foundation quiet on the subject, we can't confirm anything.

However, if you follow NEM on social media, you will see that tons of events are happening all the time. Combining that with the recent release of new wallet features (Which are outlined in catapult whitepaper), then realizing that all exchanges NEM wallets are "having issues"
One could argue that something is happening behind the scenes. Building awareness for NEM before a big announcement? Testing new wallets before mass adoption? Making sure the exchanges have functioning wallets with new code?

I had considered not sharing my observations, as I don't want to cause hype or fud. But, I guess you can have some of them... I have my bets placed already. I am not an insider. Just a NEM fanatic.

Japanese and Koreans are leading the buying. Their volume has increased due to the refund of the Coincheck hack to Japanese investors next week (@ 80 cents per lost XEM). They are most likely buying in before this happens as they are anticipating that the refunded investors will buy back in

I think a lot will be quite happy to double their investment

I really hope this will bring back NEM prices to where they belong. The price has been surpressed way too long by this hack already. I really hope the investigations will pay off and the identity of the hacker (hopefully not a fall guy) is now known.
