I think most people use ethereum because it's the ICO machine. And eth devs are a dime a dozen. I think most do not even look into NEM at all. But that's starting to change. We are looking more and more projects moving over from eth, and new ones sprouting up on NEM almost everyday.
But that's something quite normal. ETH is branded linke the ICO institution of all Cryptos, and that leads to more and more people using it for their companies. Most likely the projects with limited developer knowledge just use ETH because a lot others do too and it´s an amazing Buzz word for people not long in the space. But you will notice more and more projects moving from ETH to NEM. And that are mostly projects with more underlaying quality Can you name any project that moved from ETH to NEM? This is no hate for ETH at all from my side but i am more than sure that at least 50% of the ICO Teams just picked ETH because of the laziness and the unawareness of the people they were trying to collect money from. Thanks for that. Was genuinely curious, and this seems like an interesting data point that might point to a larger trend down the line. I will try to collect the other examples I noticed in Telegram. But that was the biggest. I know there is a switch ongoing from a project in the online gaming/ casino sector, but the final details are not revealed yet. Mostly the projects picking NEM are filing a community proposal other than an ICO. But especially after the catapult release and moving, i am quite sure we will see some more switches from ETH |

Is there any hope for this coin? It’s never recovered since the hack and catapult has been teasing us for over a year (which is = to decades in the crypto market) seems like XEM is just another pie in the sky.

Chronobank based in Australia for example works with both nem and eth as per the words of one of nem's team. So it is also possible that bankera is planning to have the same route. |

NEM began by participants who helped build and grow the network to what it is today, there was never an ICO. The free market determined the value of XEM. Don't quote me, you can look up the resource on bitcointalk where it all began.

I like this project. NEM always was big and promising project. I think NEM is one of the biggest projects at crypto space. Also, price now looks very tasty. I think that as soon as the general fall of the market is over, the coin has every chance to show good growth. Personally bought some XEM. |

it is getting more and more profitable to buy bitcoin and then exchange them for XEM , sometimes it is good to see prices go down for a while , that are the moments i just buy more XEM
still have that 1 wallet with 2200 XEM in it which i cannot control anymore , it is a souvenier now
