This is NOT a PoS coin. It is a good old fashioned PoW Scrypt coin. It will be mineable basically forever, like litecoin. And it is GOOD that there are very few coins out there, I think about 200,000, because the coins are hard to mine at 17 per block reward, so they will be far more valuable then they are now. This is not DOGE coin with 500,000/block. Think about it, 17 per block, then ask yourself, "How much is QTL really worth?"

The developers of Quatloo should consider making a mining feature like AidBit has built into the wallet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=683317.0This would make it easier for less tech savvy people to mine and become involved with the coin.

From your screenshot page : "Quatloo-Trader will be free to use for all who hold at least 100 QTL at bittrex.com. The application adds additional functionality and features not found at the web-based bittrex.com trading platform to facilitate trading. It is easy to use and is mainly designed for the typical trader. " So this program (app) can be used to trade ANY coin and not just QTL correct? Will you be adding features regularly? Regular features would ensure copycats would not take away from your service. People pay a lot of money to use "bots" to trade with. If you can offer similar automated trading services with your coin at no charge other than holding QTL. Well that is pretty friggin' cutting edge. And not just automation but any helpful trading tools. You could let people with more QTL have access to different levels of functionalityYou can have 3,4, or even 5 different levels. This is really smart stuff going on here. I am impressed. Now if we can just convince you to slow down mining and get to PoS only The program will constantly be updated and more features added. There are so many things I want to add to it that, if i waited until I coded all the ideas, it would be a long time before release. I'm releasing it Monday no matter what with a decent amount of features, but understand, there will be much more to it and updates will be rapid. I think you are on the right path. Keep up the good work. Already attention to Quatloo is growing daily. Good to see real innovation. The price will reflect the effort.

question from a noob on this coin to others who've been more closely following it: could anyone summarise what's special about it?
were basic aspects ready at launch - wallet, blockexplorer, website, whitepaper and/or features, etc. - or is the [ANN] promise-heavy? have the devs delivered on their promises? Any hidden problems - premines? instamines? well distributed? is there a rich list? buggy code? are these are hard core programmers, not "copy-paste" devs or middlemen? When bugs/fork challenge pop up, are they fixed quickly? dev squabbles? dev complacency? missed deadlines? Is the entirte dev team anonymous -- and even if so, does it at least have a solid reputation here on bitcointalk? How does the coin production/distribution setup provide insulation from the risk of massive miner/whale dumps? Is there an estimate out there of the max # of daily BTC trading volume that might be needed to absorb mined coins? Anything to worry about?
When is the next significant development update (code, screenshots and/or whitepaper/proof-of-concept or something else?) expected to come out?

The developer is releasing a trading bot like service in the next few days that is comparable to expensive alternatives.

-you can answer the 1st question by reading the thread, -There have been no problems -premine is in the announcement -there wasnt any instamine due to the difficulty retargeting algorithm -no issue with the code -I am the main developer and I can code.. i am not anonymous and I have a good rep here.. i think that answers a few of your questions -The amount of mined coins stay fairly steady due to the difficulty retargeting algorithm... its not easy to mine alot.. just doesn't happen.
