Hooray! All 40 AntMiner S3s we ordered will be delivered on Thursday and then shipped same-day to anyone who bought through us on Amazon! For reference, our order times were as follows: 30 units: 2014-06-30 14:03:31 10 units: 2014-06-30 14:10:42 Ps, there's 2 left if anyone's interested I almost pulled the trigger to grab them, but a bit too high on the price. Don't suppose you'd take 1.6 BTC for them both? I'd accept 1.8 with free shipping within the US. PM me if interested. Let's see... odds of 1.5 BTC hitting ROI: slim to none that makes 1.8 BTC hitting ROI: even less likely I think I'll pass. M

I've got this great idea! If everyone who got a B1 or B2 order waited until the 20th to fire up their S3's, then us poor schlubs who ordered from B3 would have a shot at decent difficulty, and we can all start up our machines together! Just kidding folks, of course. I moved too slowly and am jealous. Looking forward to hearing the first impressions, problems, etc. Hopefully you early birds can work out the initial kinks for us slowpokes We should be seeing some in the wild by Thursday, according to above shipping dates. I can't wait to get my hands on my B1s - I'll be doing a full breakdown setup guide, tons of pics and vids. I'm sure plenty of others will be doing the same! Are you going to OC? I want to hear about OC experiences. I am in batch two so I expect right about the time you all are receiving them mine will be shipping.

Because no one will follow your idea.

So I would imagine in batch 1 there is no point in using 4 pci connections.
no in fact this batch may like under volt and under clock . maybe 400gh and 240 watts. my gut tells me batch 1 will prefer the lower then 441 they claim it will do. 400 gh at 240watts will make roi in 140 days if diff is 12%

What was a point of publishing them then? In addition-if I don't choose anything (coupon/rebate), then 10% coupon will appear automatically, right?

I red somewhere that we have until July 22(around that date) to use the refund option. After that you will be stuck with the 10% coupon. Well I am waiting for batch 4 to open. Hopefully I can have more info to decide this. Like the price for batch 4. the price of a refund 7.7% x 1.5 = . 1155 btc what is the coupon worth 10% off batch 4? or 10 % of .75 the batch 1 price. or 10% of 1.5 the MOQ or 10% of all you purchased. Lastly with any luck my gear will arrive no later the monday the 21st giving me the time to see how it works. And since some say they get gear on thur the 17th maybe I will be able to read about under volt - under clock proccedures. Here is an opinion : under volt - under clock will be better then oc of this batch If it proves that these work nicely at 400gh and 240-270 watts .. I want the coupon and I want at least 2 to 4 more.

So I need some help here peoples. I do fly in fly out work with a 3 week on roster. So im going to be away from home when the miners arrive. My girl is home but is absolutely computer illiterate. I have setup the power supply ready for when they arrive with labelling for which cables go where so she can just plug them in. But as far as setting it up goes would i be able to setup the miners remotely with teamviewer with another computer set up at home? Reading about the S1 seems the internet has to be disconnected and then connect the compter directly to the miner. Is this true with the s3 do you think? Does anyone have any ideas how I could set up the miners remotely? Thanks To answer your question would require a bit of knowledge about your home's network. Are you running a 192.168.1.* system, or are you using something else? I am guessing (and this is going on Bitmain's usage of that network in the S1 and S2) that the S3 will follow the same pattern and use that type of address. Assuming that Bitmain continues to use the 192.168.1.* addresses, and your home network is on that same network, then using Teamviewer to setup the miners remotely shouldn't be a big deal at all. My home network uses 192.168.2.* Is that configurable? Could I just change the router to assign the DHCP setting to 192.168.1.*? Absolutely. Changing your network is usually pretty easy to do in your router's config. Thanks for the help. Network has been changed to 192.168.1.* Had to re-cycle all the devices on the network to get them going but were all sweet now As was posted above... take some screenshots and print them out. Show your girl how to handle making the changes to the router in the off chance that the S3s come with a different address range. This way, you can call her from the road and walk her through the process should it be necessary. My guess is that Bitmain will stick with the 192.168.1.* range. Also, make sure you have statically assigned IPs for your current miners so there isn't a conflict. Do something like 192.168.1.201-210 depending on how may miners you currently have hashing away. Done and done. I have printed out screenshots with paragraphs of details of what needs doing. Haven't done this much homework in years haha. Thanks for the help.

Reading about the S1 seems the internet has to be disconnected and then connect the compter directly to the miner. Is this true with the s3 do you think? Does anyone have any ideas how I could set up the miners remotely? Thanks If you put two NIC's in your PC you can preconfigure one to talk to the miner (with crossover cable) and leave the other one to connect to your network. Then all she has to do initially is power the miner and plug it into the crossover cable. You can then remote in and configure it. If you set the IP as the last bit of configuration, she can then just change the ethernet cable to put it on your main network. Unfortunately I don't have another network card Does your computer have wifi and a hardwired NIC you can do the same thing suggested here?
