So I need some help here peoples. I do fly in fly out work with a 3 week on roster. So im going to be away from home when the miners arrive. My girl is home but is absolutely computer illiterate. I have setup the power supply ready for when they arrive with labelling for which cables go where so she can just plug them in. But as far as setting it up goes would i be able to setup the miners remotely with teamviewer with another computer set up at home? Reading about the S1 seems the internet has to be disconnected and then connect the compter directly to the miner. Is this true with the s3 do you think? Does anyone have any ideas how I could set up the miners remotely? Thanks If you put two NIC's in your PC you can preconfigure one to talk to the miner (with crossover cable) and leave the other one to connect to your network. Then all she has to do initially is power the miner and plug it into the crossover cable. You can then remote in and configure it. If you set the IP as the last bit of configuration, she can then just change the ethernet cable to put it on your main network. Unfortunately I don't have another network card Does your computer have wifi and a hardwired NIC you can do the same thing suggested here? Does your Internet provider not have a 4-5 port switch you can plug the miners and the pc into? If the miners are like the S1s then they'll all have 192.168.1.99 as their address. Could you give us a little more info so we can help you out better? What's your network cabling situation - switch or no, ISP provides some sort of router with a switch or no, pc or mac, how many miners, etc? Mac network changes - http://www.macworld.com/article/2027960/configuring-your-macs-network-settings.htmlWindows - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-tcp-ip-settings#1TC=windows-7Linux - if you had Linux you'd already have this sorted If you set static IP settings you'll want to use something like 192.168.1.20 with a netmask of 255.255.255.0. Default gateways are typically 192.168.1.1, but it depends on what the ISP router is set to. Anyway, get us some more info and we'll get you there unless this has already been answered

Nope, no BTC for me! No refund yet and no shipping info yet and I've got 2 from batch 1, first day order. They still have time but it would be nice to have these by the weekend. Of those of you who have shipping info, had any of you requested the refund?

yeah please. and more important i think, if total value has been updated according to new prize for customs, because S3 has lower hashing rate or not.

VAT is roughly £107 for both S3s. This might not include the surcharge from UPS which should be around £10.

The surcharge from UPS for handling customs aswell as lending your money so you can pay it with the UPS driver.
Really, you are paying for 900$ in mining gear and are complaining about a ~1% charge from UPS?
