"Control Finance" is another ponzi that is very popular on Youtube that I'd love to expose.  It is more obviously a ponzi than BitConnect, so there are some people who realize it is a ponzi but still trust BitConnect.

If BTC-E is taking 45% of the funds and converting them into tokens, can we resolve this market now (and not wait until Jan 1, 2018)?

https://fairlay.com/market/bitcoin-exchange-to-mess-up-before-2018/

Thanks!

The funds are not lost. The thief  (US government) is known and it remains to be seen if he will be forced to return the stolen funds by court order.

https://fairlay.com/market/who-will-be-elected-german-chancellor-in-2017-1/

Zero liquidity for a re-election of Angela Merkel? This is looking like a boring election, if not even a single
satoshi of liquidity is available if you want to bet on her re-election  Grin

Furthermore, I wanted to ask why the resolution date is the 17th of September, when the election
takes place on the 24th of September. Is it possible to postpone the resolution date? I expect that
a bunch of bets would come in in the last days, which isn´t really possible if the resolution date is
a week before the election.

I created this market for BitConnect Coin - I'd appreciate your liquidity and publicity =)

https://fairlay.com/market/bitconnect-coin-below-5-on-may-1-2018/

Edit: it looks like it set the resolution date as today by mistake. I told it May 1, 2018 - but may have entered the date format wrong. Now there is no way to edit it.  I hope the new UI has the ability to preview things.

Is there any way to opt out of the new site?  It's not going to be worth my time to list the 20+ things I can't stand about it.  Just trying to find out if there is a way to choose the old site before I decide to move on.

I lied.  here's a major one: if someone searches for "browns," it does not mean they want every event with a person named "brown."  It means they want an exact match for Browns -- as in Cleveland Browns.

Hi ok regarding new site... under matched predictions, I see 4 predictions. 1 is from today. and there are 3 random ones from the past few weeks.... what in the world are they doing there? Furthermore, one of the predictions is for the OPPOSITE of what I remembered betting. Really confused what they're doing there. FWIW the 3 random ones all look like pushes. BUT as I said, one does say for the LA Chargers +3 when my bet was on Broncos -3. There

Ok, so looking at it further, am I to believe that if the price is a little bit faded, that means the bet is against the listed team? and if it's darker, it's on the listed team/player?

Why not just have a seperate column that shows "on" or "against" like before?

Fairlay.com doesn’t want to be another automated bookie, Fairlay seeks to crowd-source information by providing a totally open prediction market.  Functioning more like a conditional exchange, the website not only allows users to bet but to see public confidence on various bitcoin and altcoin related events, as well as sports, and YouTube views.

In a typical prediction market, users make a bet, in some form or another. On Fairlay, for example, a user may simply state a prediction, and give odds, and wait for another user to match that bet."

Fairlay - 5
I had a very unique experience with this site: Around a week ago, my computer was infected with a trojan that presumably stole all my sessions and cookies. The attacker proceeded to sift through my various online accounts and requested withdrawals to his address on all my bitcoin-related accounts; I had around 2BTC on fairlay. When I noticed this the next day, I immediately sent an email to Fairlay asking not to process the withdrawal. I received an email back stating that the withdrawal would not be sent. Unfortunately, likely through a miscommunication or the like, the withdrawal did go through and the attacker received my 2BTC, I was really devastated. To my surprise however, after I emailed support about this, the owner of the site claimed responsibility for the lack of miscommunication and completely reimbursed me the 2BTC, out of his own pocket. So that should tell you how they treat their customers Smiley
Otherwise, I like the site. In general I like the idea of a bitcoin betting exchange. In addition, the commission is really low (2% on net winnings), and the interface is really clean and user friendly.

fairlay = 5 (Good looking site, functional all the time, good odds, helpful staff)

Fairlay = 4

i like the competitive way of betting against other users.

good usability : seeing the percentages, being able to scroll up and down.

Fairly 4.5 they have potential.

ty @fairlay. the odds are indeed great

I have sent the funds that I withdrew back to my account. I can't miss prices like yours.
That would be cutting my nose off to spite my face.

I actually like the new layout. Maybe it's because I just like the font and color scheme they used but it's honestly not that different from before.

I really like the layout, too.

However a few things are not that intuitive to me.
E.g. a green progress bar with 100 % is displayed under the market information
of a sports market. What exactly is this progress bar indicating? I haven´t placed
any bet and am just looking at the market.

Besides, the homepage states 0 % fees for dice. Does the dice game at Fairlay
actually have no house edge?

The bar shall show the sentiment. How many of the taker bets were placed on each side.

There is a small house edge on dice markets  (like 0.1% or less) if you take a look at the orderbooks.  You can also offer p2p dice bets that can result in no house edge at all if you are willing to wait for another use to accept your offer.

Hi fairlay, congrats!
one thing i liked on old site under profile there was a public profile link and it showed how much Mbtc was wagered lifetime along with # of matched bets and total lifetime Mbtc profit...I do not see that under the profile link on new site...it would be excellent if you could add that back or guide me to where it located if it is on new site ty

Ok so something that needs to be fixed is the "return" that displays which is off by a factor of 10. now when the bet is finalized or if I do a quick tab away and then shift-tab back, the return and odds are correct but it does display incorrectly in real time when you're sizing your bet.

For example: I bet something with odds 2.03. I type in 1 mbtc, it shows return of 2.03 which is correct. but then I add a 0 so the bet is "10" but return stays at "2.03" when in fact it should be 20.30. I type in another 0 so bet is "100" but return displays "20.30". I type in another 0 so bet is "1000" but return displays "200.30"

So in real time, the return displays as follows for odds of 2.03:

bet: 1  mbtc return: 2.03
bet: 10 mbtc return: 2.03
bet: 100 mbtc return 20.30
bet: 1000 mbtc return 200.3

etc.

And will you be adding back the "on/against" column in your predictions? I get now that the faded price means it's against the listed team but still why not just keep it simple?

The new interface hides matched orders that are closed but unresolved.  These used to appear under "Matched".

The resolved order tab is also empty and I've had a couple bets resolve.

I have two suggestions

1. Allow the option of a light theme.  Your dark theme is very hard on the eyes.
2. When placing a bet, please subtract the bet amount from the "return" amount.  It is very confusing to the user when betting 1.1 at -110 to say it returns 2.1. It should be 1.0.
