Overall a nice site, giving it a try.
Registered an account to lay bets, I am still yet to figure out how it works, but one thing is for sure, it is nothing like betfair. Liquidity is not bad for a bitcoin book, wish we could lay bets and trade live in play.
Actually Fairlay has lots of similarities to Betfair
You can lay bets by clicking at the purple colored odds (with the standard setting it is displayed
as a win percentage instead of American odds or decimal odds, but you can change it in the settings) and picking the Maker/Taker option on the left.
If you want to convert back/lay odds (I assume you are familiar with these terms as you already seem to know Betfair?) you can use a calculator like this

https://fairlay.com/markets/live/However, I would advise you to bet against the existing liquidity provided by the market makers as it is really hard to get matched in play with your own orders.
The user base is simply not big enough for live trading at the moment and spread out across too many different time zones.
This advice only applies to in play markets, otherwise getting your orders matched works pretty well if you offer better prices than the
existing market makers.
