There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

To those who are buying now (despite my warnings): you will have to STAKE your HYP for some time just to pay back your investment since the HYPE price (and TRK, by the way, will probably be lower. in a matter of days.

Don't buy. Just way for the transition to be over. Read just above.

We don't have premine, this is fork launch. When you buy, you buy from other TRK holders, not from dev (TRK dev has some premine left, but not much). Read OP.

Should I wait for the next block before sending another 1600, or does it matter for coin age/staking purposes?

They should keep buying. I am keeping the price down a little so they are not paying too crazy of price. Now if they have a few big orders I am not going to sell all my trk because I want some HYP.

Yes you can. You can get you HYP and dump both. You could stake both or dump both. It will be interesting to see what everyone does.

I would at least wait until I announce that the chain has successfully forked before performing any market operations.

Yes and this is what I suspect everyone will do. So people willing to get some cheap TRK and willing to bet on a future rise (or just willing to wait for stake) could get some really cheap TRK.

I just hope not much people will buy for the wrong reasons. But there is not much we can do here. Fork chain is not as elegant as sidechain.

Indeed. HYP is an experiment and from an experimental point of view, I already learnt a lot Smiley

Now is the time to make final trades and grab coins from the exchange. Little less than an hour. It will probably take an hour or two for me to generate the forked block, checkpoint it and release the client for everyone.

After we fork we will have otc trading only for now.

I intend to stake both. I found out about this too late to purhcase a great deal of either, and that slightly concerns me. if the amount is trivial, will it still stake? I know it will with tek and HBN, but there have been a couple PoS coins where low holding meant no stake.

I am pretty sure that as long as you have mature blocks it wont have too hard of a time syncing. I would guess we are going to have a hard time even hitting the 90 second block target for at least a few weeks.

For those guy's who are talking about dumping TRK as soon as you receive your HYP, there's only going to be a couple of "lucky" winners there - less than 1BTC will dump TRK to 1 Sat.... and considering it was around 80 sat this morning, that won't be too great!
Also, from what I read, because there's a couple of hours between 10:35PM and the release of the new wallet, surely the buy orders that are "high" are going to be pulled shortly anyway? Certainly before the new wallet is released - the price has only inflated today due to the HYP train.

I'll be holding both, staking both, and will see how it all pans out over the coming days.

Anyone that wants to take a chance and is saavy with compilation etc. Here is the repo https://github.com/presstab/HyperStake

You can build and come along for the fork, who knows maybe you will get the first forked block.

If not, then wait for me to release the client out to everyone.

Just a warning that right now there are essential changes that will be made after fork... right now it connects to the truckcoin seed nodes, it has various references to trk all of the code, and i also haven't tweaked any daemon makefiles yet.
