Same error. Sorry man. I don't know what it is.  Is this version the latest pull if I compiled it myself?

Yep it is the same. Hmmm I need to get Ubuntu GUI on one of my machines so that I can do some testing.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Current .pro file has the static tags? I don't know how to do that, but if it does, I'll give it a go in a bit for 14.04.

I added the commit today that has the static tag, assuming it only needs the static tag at the top of the file.

I installed a VM with 14.04. I still can't quite figure out how to get the correct static flags for linux.  I had to install boost 1.55 and libdb to get the client to launch.

I confirm that Dropbox binaries don't work on Arch neither (dynamically linked libminiupnpc.so.8 library). Other libraries may be missing too, only once this one will be solved we'll know about the others. Offering installation of the said libraries on the machine (akin to what dll-files.com proposes for Windows) would be a workaround, albeit an ugly one which would hinder community adoption.

On another note, could someone post a tutorial for cross-compiling on Windows with mingw? This would help presstab publish Linux and Mac binary more easily. Oh, and it would help kasvain too, since compiling on Raspberry takes ages (although I believe Kasvain has a Linux box, so just cross-compiling on Linux would work form him).

Use qt4
I should have stated it did not work either. I tried again today, with no luck. I'm using GCC 4.9.1.

Code:
bitcoinamountfield.cpp:(.text+0xa8b): référence indéfinie vers « QArrayData::deallocate(QArrayData*, unsigned long, unsigned long) »
collect2: erreur: ld a retourné 1 code d'état d'exécution
Makefile:316: recipe for target 'HyperStake-qt' failed
make: *** [HyperStake-qt] Error 1
Pardon my French (litterally ^^)

Regarding HyperStake Development, don't hesitate to propose improvements.

Community Update

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. As most of you can see by the walls of code littering the thread
everyone is beavering away at our little experiment. Hopefully David and Presstab have adequately
demonstrated that all of your feedback, suggestions, and programming toil is very much appreciated, and
will be put to good use. HYP is an actual community effort, and we love hearing what you guys have to say.
If you can contribute, all the better. If you can only raindance, I accept those too.

Speaking of feedback, it's time for another round. There are varying opinions regarding future proofing
Hyperstake, so as core investors we want to hear from you before any changes if need be take place.
A fork has been suggested, but can be extremely disruptive as other coins have shown time and time
again. Presstab is closely monitoring the blockchain since our transition to assess how pressing the inflation
issue may be. The good news is, it might be manageable without another fork. But community opinion will
have a hand in this decision.

There are other things also on the horizon, as both David and Presstab work together on new features
for the wallet and more concrete long term plans now that we are out of our initial stages. The sooner
that the devs hear what you guys want, the sooner they can get cracking on a concise roadmap to
follow in the coming months.

Thanks to everyone who has been working so hard so far. Now get back to work!

I can confirm v1.0.4 builds just fine on Arch. Did you try issuing: make clean && qmake-qt4 HyperStake-qt-linux.pro && make

The make clean is sometimes needed if you tried to build with qt5 first.

Is my block explorer not good enough for you? I can't figure out the rich list thing so far, but may add one in the future if I can figure out how.

My goal is to have the largest wallet before we publish a rich list  Roll Eyes  And I am not sure what problems people have with the explorer?  To be honest it is one of the quickest explorers I have seen out there. Lots of coins you click on a tx and have to wait 30 seconds for the page to come up.

bitcoinamountfield.cpp has never been changed on any of the HYP versions. You must have changed your deps/gcc since you first built HYP, I would suggest reverting back to a known working setup.

There is already a working abe block explorer at http://hyp.cryptospread.com:2751 (by Bumberchute), but I've been playing with RPC Ace (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=686177.0), and I've setup a simple explorer and richlist: http://hashing.uni.me/hyperstake.php is the explorer and http://hashing.uni.me/hyperstake_richlist.txt a static richlist for HYP until block 48499.

RPC Ace is very easy to use.

I'll try to put some cron jobs to refresh the richlist ...

I've split all my blocks in to 1600 and put then on separate addresses, was that right?  i'm guessing it wasn't necessary  now!

They don't need to be in separate addresses, you can split them all to one address. See this tutorial https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/13257-splitting-and-combining-blocks-using-coin-control/
