Hi, I am trying to get the wallet to work on Ubuntu 14.04 and have tried the above methods to no avail. Will the above threads referring to compiling on Linux work on Ubuntu 14.04 or am I just overlooking something? It does this and no desktop shortcut.....

for as long as you create addresses in truckcoin you will be able to import the wallet.dat to hyperstake, yes.

Is there no Hyperstake app data directory yet? Can we still buy Truckcoins in preparation to the fork?

Not going to lie, not having a compiled Windows wallet at launch and clear block number for forking may be some sour notes on adoption of this coin.

Thanks for your QTs raskul. Why were ZIM & XXX included?

My fault Cheesy I told him to use those directories, since the .exe didn't include the .dll's and they are mostly the same for all coins.

My understanding is that no you can no longer buy TRK coin since they already are picked a block to fork from. However they said no guarantees since they are still trying to get the fork to work. The dev posted on the last page about this.

Yeah, if it's that specific block mentioned, then I'm screwed. Was excited about this coin but am not a little worried since the fork parameters seems to not be clear at all. I wouldn't mind buying more TRUCK for more HYPE either, but the uncertainty level is too high for me if my subsequent TRUCK will turn into HYPE.

I'll take a gamble, but I need to understand the rules first Tongue

It's too late after the fact, but I think a fairer way of doing this would have been to get in touch with the exchanges (only Bittrex and Allcoin, so shouldn't have been too bad). Then everyone who had TRUCK would have found themselves with HYPE (sort of like CLAM). Would have at least gotten initial interest and possibly listing on the exchanges immediately since they'd help with the swap.

No worries. Also we tried to make it clear that this is a fun project for us and not trying to make the next NovaCoin or anything like that. Hopefully we will have the fork all sorted out soon.  Also there was a clear time that the fork was scheduled, but I accidentally staked my one mature block so it sort of blew our opportunity.

Honestly this is good for the coin because it means peoples coins are aging. The chain is going to be moving very slow at first because of lack of staking I would guess.

Hey there is no problem trying to get an exchange to clone their wallet.  Free buy in for them.  Also you will be able to buy after the fork using otc.  I think david and some others are heading that up.

I sure hope David is working on a one liner Ubuntu 14.04 wallet install as I still can't get the wallet to work (going off of previous posts). Any help/step-by-step would be helpful, otherwise I will wait until he makes one. Thanks.

Alright the moment we have all been waiting for!! Block 31781 is a HYP block, its own chain will be maintained from here. And as you can see I hit the max subsidy!!  It is working folks.  The wallet still sucks! I know this and will roll out some changes on it and sort out the datadir issue. Enjoy HyperStakers!!

The block has already had other stakes come in on it too! Looks like the blockchain is starting to grow!  Thanks for the help everyone, I am checking out after a long day. Hope to have seen more blocks by the morning!

Edit - and I just switched the QT build to static so it shouldn't require dll's - I can't test this because my machine has the libs even without the dll's. Please let me know if this didn't work and I can work on it more.

Can you or anyone else please provide some "check" figures for blockhash beyond the forked block so I can make sure I am on the correct chain.

Also, buying HYPER, please PM offers Wink
