Hey, anyone up for a weekly 50/50 draw?
50% to the winner, 50% to development, marketing, promotion, etc.
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Looks good! Thanks for the work MoneroMooo!!  Do you want to submit a pull request or me to throw up a commit?  I love having other people helping to improve the wallet.

If you've already applied the patch, you can just git push I guess ? I could create a github account I guess if it's easier for you. I've never used it before except cloning repos Smiley

It seems like I synced sometime last night, but now I'm not connected to any peers.

For some reason my two servers that I have running were down, these have been used to help peer discovery. I have them back up and running now and it should help out a lot.

They are part of the DNS seed, but it is possible the seed is down (it isn't my domain).  You can add them as nodes by using "addnode IPADDRESS add" in the rpc console, or by adding them to HyperStake.conf 104.131.135.232 & 192.241.233.70

If you need more peers let me know, they have over 20 peers at the moment.

Just to let everyone know, there is some behind the scenes discussion about adding an actively updated block explorer for HYP. The prices we are seeing are around 0.25 btc per year.  We do have HYP left in the bounty wallet, but I am hesitant to sell of HYP for BTC.

What does everyone think?  Is it worth it to get a rich list?  Should we try to all throw in some BTC for a bounty? Should we sell some HYP to the market?  I personally don't care too much about a rich list, I am fairly certain I have the largest wallet  Grin

To elaborate on presstab:

We have a proposal for a very nice richlist. The owner only wants BTC, though. We have five possibilities and we'd like your opinion on this.
1. We sell HYP to obtain BTC. Pros: simple. Cons: this massive sell would hurt the market.
2. We ask BTC donation from the community (0.25 BTC). Pros: it doesn't hurt HYP. Cons: We need YOU (and us) to donate BTC.
3. We decline the offer and build our own richlist. Pros: No further dilemna, custom-made richlist which suits our needs. Cons: getting a nice richlist will require time and effort.
4. We stick with present richlist. Pros: No further dilemna. Cons: below-average richlist.
5. Other propositions

So you tell us. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 Smiley

5.1 Jack an open source richlist that's known to be working. Modify the necessary code. Pay for hosting at far less than .25 BTC, and put Abe on the same server. I don't think I can do it, but I might be able to. I'll look into it as I have time.

1. no
2. possbile
3. better
4. fine
5. meh

5.1 yes!

like this maybe?? https://github.com/stolendata/rpc-ace/ simple richlist php script built in.

Do we really need one that badly? If you were to pay for something, I would vote for paying something that adds utility to the coin and not just cosmetic fluff.

This post sums up why all this bullshit is a scam

as usual I agree with bill  Grin

but yes, I've spent several days now talking to all the cool kids who make the popular richlist explorers and while they look great I just don't feel it's in our best interests right now to a) empty the staking bounty address before it's even had a chance to accumulate much or b) convert it to BTC for what is basically a vanity project. I was hoping to make everyone happy since a richlist has come up so often lately but in this case we might have to just put a pin in it for now and come back to the idea later. in the meantime though I have created a personalised richlist for you all that you can refer to whenever you like.

You do not have to keep the pc running for 9 days, but when you come online and the coins are due to stake they will stake

Minimum Age - 9 days, this means that as soon as you put the coins in your wallet they will NOT stake until 9 days later. For best results make in to blocks of 1600.

The wallet must be open to stake
