No ongoing pledge from me, as my stash is pretty small. But I'll put a 100 HYP to it as soon as I have that much in stake.
That's the idea. Only give to bounty your stake, not your principal.

Until the hard fork I will continue to add improvements to the wallet.  I will probably be adding stakeforcharity from HBN and unlockformint in the next day.
What is unlockformint? Regarding stakeforcharity, I propose stake goes to a second bounty address devoted to this (and now multiwallet would come in handy).

I updated the list of donators: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678849.msg7701263#msg7701263

I started populating the wiki https://github.com/presstab/HyperStake/wiki/Hyperstake-wiki. Please join and make it bigger!

I can answer that. Unlock for mint is a button that some coin control enabled wallets have that allows you to enter your walletpassphrase and have the wallet still encrypted but unlocked ONLY for staking. It replaces the console or rpc command sequence "walletpassphrase <password><timeinseconds> <mint>"  It's very convenient.

Yep pretty much the point is to be able to keep your wallet locked without worrying about having to unlock it when you have mature coins.  I myself never use the feature because I try to always have mature coins, but some people find it a must have feature.

Also good work on getting the wiki started David, that will be a great resource for the community. I suggest that everyone add a thing or two to the wiki when you get a second.

It seems I have miscalculated my staking. Two in a row Cheesy

Not a problem with the wallet, I just made a mistake in coin control. But at any rate, now that I've hit the zone where I should be staking for a few days straight, it is is working perfectly. Good job boys!

I'll have a hundred or so coins for the bounty fund in a few days. All of these stakes are on 200 or less coins, which tells me that small amounts work ok Cheesy

EDIT: Surprisingly, so far no orphans. That's a bit of a shock to me, actually. Every other coin I've staked at low numbers has first generated an orphan or two.

When the network stake weight is low, it means that blocks will typically come through with longer intervals in between, and as such you have a much less chance of someone else generating a block before your block gets accepted.

Thanks for compiling that for everyone.  I don't have a pi to test it on, but it is a valuable addition. I am adding this to the OP.

Added Stake For Charity from Tranz' HoboNickels.  This is only in the RPC for now, but will be added into the GUI soon. It allows you to send part of your stake to a different address automatically.  I haven't had a chance to test this new code on a staked block yet.

I can confirm that this just worked, I sent 10% of my stake to the bounty address. You do need to have the wallet open for 30 confirmations after the stake happens though.

As for GUI eta, I am working on this right now. I don't have a whole lot of experience with QT and dialogs and such, so I am learning as I go, but hopefully it should be fairly straight forward.

What are people's realistic values on hyp right now?
Coin swap has the buy price at 1500, with the sells down to 500, with not much support until it hits 300.

Bearing in mind the apr, meaning 1500 sat today, effectively means you can sell your coins for around 1250 sat in 9 days time for the same overall btc..... Im finding it difficult to value where this should be.

Such a high apr adds a whole new variable to price valuation! :-)

I don't know how you would pin a price on something like this, but as someone who mined a bunch of TRK and bought some TRK right before it became HYP, to me I want HYP to be worth at least 2k satoshi. It is a value that seems fair, but others who came to HYP a different way may disagree. Anyone have other opinions?

I don't have a specific price that I try to buy at, I let the market decide what I pay.  I pretty much buy anywhere between 100-1000 HYP each day to send to my wallet, I don't have to worry about price too much because I am continually buying, meaning I buy when it is low, high, in the middle, and it all averages out.  I think a more patient approach to buying and selling proves to be the best in the long run.

And also it is worth mentioning that several of the members in the high stake community have pointed out that the higher the stake %, the larger the buy and sell spread. This seems to have been proven true with HYP so far.

Also I have successfully added stakeforcharity to the GUI. Now I just need to put some polish on it before I commit it. I am going to see if I can get the .ico to cooperate the way zeewolf suggests with different images per resolution.  Throw all that together and should be ready for our weekly wallet release v1.0.4

Here is the first commit. I still have to add warning dialogs that tell when it is rejected, and add info to the staking icon.
