BTCD is no more

I've done that, but it's still having trouble syncing.  Now it stops at ~1301 block remaining.  I'm using Win 7.

EDIT: More specifically, it's stuck on block 100483.  So the number of blocks remaining is slowly increasing as time goes on.

Same issue here. Wallet with the old logo works fine, I keep having issues with the newer wallets.

A suggestion: put the .conf instructions at the top of the OP with the fresh wallet links, people will see it easier. Or even better, a download of a .conf file all ready to go.

Just wanted to say, I've been using the .conf file with the correct name all along.  It was connecting to nodes.  I don't think that was the problem.

The new wallet file is the same as the original wallet, just with a new logo and some checkpoints for syncing.

Mine is working perfectly, but I had to delete everything except my wallet and BitcoinDark.conf, restart the wallet and let it redownload the blockchain.

Same here. Also remapping the sync IPs seems to help.

Is there a good reason I should not stick with the older wallet for now (says I'm on Qt 5.3.0), since it's working just fine for me?
Looking forward to new NXT-inside wallet, that will hopefully be a little easier to install.

Great! Reading all the problems people are having and hoping I wouldn't have to negotiate them myself
It's one thing I love about the NXT wallet: it's a one-click download and it works out of the box. If the SuperWallet does this for participating currencies it will be a great attraction.

Getting the new wallet and deleting all but the wallet.dat and BitcoinDark.conf file, fixed it for me.

ok, thanks !!  now it works with the new "wallet" on Win 8.1 (I deleted everything as you suggested except wallet.dat and bitcoindark.conf) ... remeber to flag the administrator privilege on .exe

I'm glad this seems to have fixed the sync issue and the bandwidth issue.

Now we can get back to moving BTCD forward!

Lol there's just one problem with that... they don't have James on their dev team!!
In all seriousness, if their intention is to be accepted as part if the SuperNET as they state, they need to have unique features, not just copy what is already being done with BTCD.
