I have a problem with the BTCD wallet and hope someone here can help me.   It's been working fine until this morning when I tried to send two deposits to my Poloniex address.  They never arrived, and although the wallet has transaction ids for them both neither show up on the block chain explorer.  The deposit address shows all transactions except these two.  The wallet shows 35 confirmations for one and 50 something for the other and it seems to be stuck there.  Does anyone know what has caused and how it can be corrected?   Thanks.

Think you might be on a fork. keep wallet.dat and the .conf file then delete everything else. Let it resync and it should be fine.

I don't seem to have a .conf file.  Should be under appdata/roaming/bitcoindark right?

You have to create BitcoinDark.conf in that location.

I wonder why the addnode method was removed from btcd?  having a hard time getting synced.

Code:

18:23:01

addnode 5.101.107.239:60056 add

18:23:01

Method not found (code -32601)

just put it in BitcoinDark.conf from the op

yes, I have some addnodes in my conf file, but I wanted to add one while it was running... this must have been manually pulled from the code because bitcoin has had it for a long time..

Code:
addnode <node> <add|remove|onetry>

so I was wondering what the reason for pulling working functional methods

Apologies for the dump at 0.013 on bittrex everyone.  I had to cash out some of my holdings to pay for a holiday.  No need to panic, I am still confident in the uptrend and that we will see 0.02 and beyond happen quickly once Teleport is out

the "mystery" is solved
I suggest to do a mass withdraw from cryptsy and not using them
but of course we are not able to...

There is no telling how many coins they are staking per day.

I will never use cryptsy again if I can help it, and I suggest everyone do the same. This is thievery, plain and simple.

Interesting indeed. Perhaps that explains the random withdrawl issues. If they are staking they may have significant amounts unspendable at certain times. Glad I got mine out.

I actually managed to get a few hundred out overnight that were all small withdrawals (25 and under), but it still took 12-24 hours from when I made the withdraw request.  I have other larger withdrawals from last week that are still stuck, and a bunch of other smaller ones today that haven't been processed either.  It's totally random which they allow and when.  I'll be ditching Cryptsy for good once the last of my coins are out.

Our plan is to do basically what jl777 did with Bitcoindark

We will try to get on the supernetwork from jl777 which we should be able to accomplish once the new features are released

their tech support has told me that they dont have the right unspent outputs to be able to handle larger withdraws.
This means that they are doing fractional reserve (I dont think so), or that their withdraw code is not aggregating unspent outputs! So if you make a withdraw request that is larger than their largest unspent output, everything gets stuck as their software is not finding a way to satisfy the withdraw.

Hopefully, some day cryptsy will learn how to add.
It is not so complicated to use multiple inputs, they can just look at my MGW code if they need help.

James

P.S. The advantage of requiring a single input is that it really simplifies the code and reduces the chances for bugs, but this is cryptsy, so I cant imagine they are not doing this. Maybe their staking has fragmented the utxo so much that even with N inputs it is not enough. Its probably something like that

I will never again either and echo this suggestion. Since their server crash, my account is actually now in the red with a -0.67834202 balance, yet thousands of coins still unaccounted for.
