Just a quick update, we are hard at work on the roadmap along with the info graphics. We want to make sure we don't miss any important points. There are a few projects for example Peercoin, ethereum, ripple, counter party, these are great projects but in many ways, we will have a more superior and or unique & advanced blockchain. We have to be very clear in our long term vision and mission for I/O Digital (Blockchain).

In terms of development we are still testing our encryption for our messaging and putting the final touches to it.

The other day I said to myself, who would want Bitcoin after Dions comes out. Yes I know many will because of its current value, but we are going to be so advanced and superior with our Blockchain technology. As a community once Dions comes out we have to all push, to have as many people as possible trying out Dions, in hopes that we get great adoption of our instant transfers along with our decentralized aliases.

Hi,

We are focussing on finishing up DIONS. We are close.  Cheesy
It takes some time because we added some new functionality like the messaging and some more features that will be announced when we release it. Next to that we are focussing on the API and wallet integrations. The devs are cooking the best meal a crypto enthusiast can eat with the best ingredients devs can use! We only want to go live if we are 100% sure that all works and all is tested.
We are in that last stage. Release date of roadmap and DIONS will be announced. Just not now. We don't want to over-promise and if we think we need a day extra for testing, we want to take that extra day and not disappoint you.

For marketing afterwards:
We are setting up a marketing strategy right now.
Our main focus in our plan is not just to promote IOC for public adoption, but we have a more corporate strategy.
Adoption by companies that want to use the blockchain of IOC and use it for their decentralized services.
If these companies use it on a daily case, we are sure that IOC will have a healthy push. Now and in the future.

rewarding the network (rough and not a final idea):
Companies / services will have the ability to store data in our blockchain and use our chain for their de-central services. We think its fair that if companies use the blockchain for data storage, they have to pay for it somehow. Not in $ to us, but in buying IOC digital currency so they can pay for the required fees and send that fees into the network again.

So actually reward the network. The more you store, the more you need to reward the people that secure the blockchain and operate the large data storage wallets / nodes. See this as a reward structure that masternodes have. Those masternodes handle a specific service and get rewarded for providing that service. So maybe we can have an extra service like this to handle larger data transmission? its on the drawing board. We have some more ideas about that structure.

We are also looking to have the storage expire once every x time. So the data needs to be "renewed".  Maybe different type of storage have different expirations. We don't know yet for sure. We are finalizing the details. Technically the expiry is implemented.

On the sidelines we are talking to people and companies that are interested. All kinds of people with different agenda's watching every step we take. You can rest asure that we know what we are doing and trustworthy / well known people in crypto and corporates are advising us on the sidelines because they know what we are doing is important and groundbreaking.

So, releasing DIONS is creating a new future for crypto. And we are on it!!
Be sure to watch out for our roadmap.

Thanks.

Thanks Richard for that update.......

Developer  Update May 5th 2015

Hope everyone is well today, things are going to start to pick up soon.

We are closing in on wallet api work. We are still working on the encryption of the messaging system, yesterday while testing the last encryption infrastructure changes for the ms system, some minor bugs occurred with keys occasionally not stored correctly. We are now fixing these last issues over the next few days and then we can move forward with the wallets. We have also made substantial progress on the info graphic roadmap, we are in the design phase already and the team is now awaiting our first design draft from crz. Our light mobile wallet its moving along nicely, but we are going to hold release to be able to integrate Dions in it. Lastly on information graphic release date we want to have a live chat or video chat with the entire community, this will be the time to get vocal. Our implemented Dions system will be one of a kind and we will need to get the info out. We will be sending digital info packages to all media outlets that cover digital currency news, but we are also going to be doing some printing of our info graphics.

If you are interested in helping us promote our blockchain in your country, please speak to Richard our community manager.

Thank You everyone one, remember if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us. Once we have the final draft of our info graphics, we will announce the release date and date/time for our Live video or Teamspeak chat to everyone.

Hi Guys,

Took a few weeks because of holidays, but just been manually been paying out more than 50 winners of free IOC.

All scratch card winnings are again payed out. Have fun with your winning IOC! Stake them and help securing the network or use the I/OCoin GIFTS tab (see above) to send IOC to friends and family. That would be nice to get them introduced.

Just watched Blocktalk on you tube.

I think Joel did a good job of explaining what i/oCoin is about and it is nice to see Vericoin and i/ocoin getting on well with each other. Like anything in life, if people can work with each other, greater and better things can be accomplished.

I/OCoin has some of the best features in a cryptocurrency all it is lacking is the support and community, one area that needs lots of work on. Once the community and support match the coins features, then this will be a top 5 coin.

Also, it is about time the roadmap and infographic was released.   Smiley

Development Update Monday May 11th, 2015

Most of DIONS testing is done, we are now working on the API doc for the wallet dev team.  We will start working on wallets with that as a basis in the next couple of days.

Testing of our mobile light wallet has begun and we are now awaiting for the Api doc to begin DIONS light wallet implementation.

Infographics team are processing content/text and making it graphical based.

Another update before the end of the week

thanks everyone

Hi LondonMP,

That is exactly what we are developing for. Only better. For example Ripple is centralized. We are not, but we will have the same (even more) features than them. Namecoin is nice, but even with NS we will have more features that they could not get working.

We will get a spot in the Asset Centric region. No problem ;-)

Good article. Thanks for the spot.

how to get private key from html5 wallet? I dont want wallet.dat file

Hello Vene, The HTML5 wallet doesn't have debug console support only the qt. In order to access pv keys you must backup your html5 wallet .dat
rename the iocoin folder in roaming, if this is a windows computer. Install the qt wallet. replace the .dat from the qt wallet with the backed up one, always leave a copy of the original and proceed to use debug console to retrieve your private keys from your addresses.

Thanks

We are in development of DIONS and we are working on an infographics/roadmap, to educate the mass about our project. Sooner or later our blockchain development will match price.
