the wallet progressively dumping coins is getting low.. down from 500k to about 23k.. if you search the richlist you can find it, wonder what will happen after that wallet is empty?? maybe up then? what is the wallet address? EDIT: are you talking about this one?: VoHhbdyxxRx6YAqr8e83wh4n6KcmjaffWS maybe something to do with mining, right? it has over 25k incoming transactions as well. doesn't sound to me like a typical "dumper" (if that's the wallet you saw)

I guess some of these large Chinese LTC mining pools are merge mining VIA and dumping their stash each day on the exchanges.

Cannot be more than 18000 coins a day (3600 blocks x 5 coins) though

Cannot be more than 18000 coins a day (3600 blocks x 5 coins) though +1 It was someone (or few) of bigger investors. More important is that the biggest are still here. VIA will recover, but it will not be easy though.

Cannot be more than 18000 coins a day (3600 blocks x 5 coins) though True, but that is enough to let the value collapse when there is less demand. I didn't examine the blockchain though, it is possible that it was a bigger investor dumping. Lets hope that VIA will recover, I truly believe in this coin but it certainly needs better advertisement.

I'm not here to talk about the price, but to sustain these levels only 300 dollars a day must flow in. Thats peanuts. You are the advertisement that Viacoin needs. Promote it in your own environment. Try to think about making a businesscase for an app/services/etc for example to put on the blockchain of Viacoin. Talk about it with your relations. This is the way to advertise and make people interested in Cryptocurrency.

Yes, I have to agree with you on this. Unfortunately most people in my environment are not interested in crypto currency at all, but hey maybe I'm in the wrong environment. I have a 30+ years experience in coding C and C++, I've really been thinking about developing something for VIA or crypto in general, but coding alone is not enough, you need other expertise to develop something useful, and like most people I have other obligations to adhere to.

I received this text from a viacoin fan. The said they were having problems logging into BCT so sent me the text to paste. This is an example of what I mean by individuals pulling their own weight and contributing to build a community and ecosystem. Thanks @btclena!

Those wallpapers look amazing, nice work! Exchange volume seems to be picking up as well, the 1d volume on Bittrex is the most we have had since September of 2014.

As i said before we are not selling coins (because of price). We have just written off the investment. This situation looks like another community takeover. The main dev should burn his viacoins and XCH, surrender control of the github account. Replace the main dev with someone who has time. The top holders should create a foundation and hire promoters. The tech is still marketable.
