Funny when you think that if you count the PSU costs @ 75$ you never ROI a .72 BTC S3 miner. (at 15% increase diff and 350w @ 0.1$ Kw/h)
Only winner here is Bitmain.
I already made back 62% of what I paid for my Rockminer boxes in less than 2 weeks and will have no problem doing the same with my R3's. If you have to ask how, you obviously haven't been around long enough... Did you factor in your electricity bills?

Hi, can you please guys help me?. I want to buy a shelf, for placing there my incoming S3´s. Right now i have my S1´s in my room at there´s so much hot there I want to take a network cable from my router, through the window, to the upper floor, where i have my flat roof. I have 2 possibilities. A and B. In the images i attach you can see it. Which one do you think its better. Yeah, i know maybe the sun can hit sometimes, but i could place something in front just to avoid direct sun contact. What do you guys think?? Or please recommendations. Shelf in "red" and network cable RJ45 Cat5E in "green"

You want to leave your miners outside?
I can protect them from the sun so they would be cooler than inside a room, and in winter, middle part of terrace has roof so no problem and water doesnt get there, also i can protect them with something else. Thing is its impossible to have 2 or more miners inside a room, so much hot....

Yeah, right, and this year more often than any other year. Covered area with roof (area A) its the chosen one i think I will just have to buy something to protect shelf from sun the few hours that sun hits that area

This would deflect most water droplets wherever they may come from. Hot miners won't condense water but the roof will and a few drops falling down and poof.

(Local laws WILL make me loose the apartment if I rent it, that´s why I mine there). It has been running without issue for a few months. It has rained over there a few times without issues so far. The only thing that really becomes an issue is the dust. I do need to go over there every 3 weeks to clean them with an air compressor. The image has low quality because I took it from the security camera. I could take better pictures the next time i go there if you´r interested. The rack it´s located at about 2.5 meters from the balcony. Cheers

I got some more mining porn today. Very nice!!! Are you using the 2000w server PSUs? How many S3s can they safely handle? I have counted 4 per PSU, how much they are pulling from PSU? Thanks!

I bet I could run more but I only have 8 PCIE cables per PSU. I am pulling 33 amps @ 240V for 24 of them so 330W each. That is only 1320W per PSU. I could put 2 more easy on each PSU if I made new cables with more PCIE connectors.

Good. Thus you can keep your PSUs unstressed and maybe more efficient? By the way, what happened with you Novec cooling project?

Do you happen to have some SP10s in your disposition to test with Novec? It would be very interesting to see what the performance would be. Taking in consideration that you can pull some ~100W more from the PSU, by removing the fans, and with Novecs decent cooling...
