Are you mining it with cgminer or ultracoinminer? Yacminer So what hashrate can one expect from Yacminer and R9 280x? At this point I'm getting 12.8 kHz with 4 gpus and ultracoinminer, N=14.

@Beave162 Nice to see you back with a positive attitude towards UTC. Welcome and thanks for that. God I should have invested in UTC once bum-idiot left like I told him I would. What a pump ! Long live Chacha!
Aw well thanks for the patronizing comment. When someone like Kracko joins the cause, it breeds hope for someone like me. Also, this glorious, massive pump doesn't seem to have scam-based manipulation behind it... I would like to see this description addressed with some intellectual honesty: "Ultracoin is ultrafast with an transaction speed of 6 seconds and it needs only 30-40 seconds for confirmation ! " What is this 6 second transaction speed? The speed of the internet that all cryptocoins benefit from? 30-40 seconds is ONE confirmation--not fully confirmed by any measure. I will be at that conference, so 'Steven' can explain why this misinformation is perpetuated in person. Just tweak that part of UTC, ok? Meanwhile, UTC is about to surpass YBCoin as the #1 scrypt-chacha coin, and hopefully, it will keep going and bring a lot of attention to an algorithm that has absolutely beautiful implications long-term. VRAM and Cache are now emphasis items for up-and-coming technology, which is amazing news. My impression with transaction time has always been, that because Ultracoin transactions take around 6 seconds, sometimes sooner, that you are receiving notification of an incoming payment, not the payment itself. Similarly, with credit and debit processors, it takes about ~10-20 seconds to add your credit or debit card to the batch file inside the payment terminal, and much longer to be charged directly to the businesses account from the consumers account. (The batch terminal is for higher transaction volume, i.e. fast food or retail, that need to be saved quickly before being sent through to the merchant service). The credit or debit transaction actually takes quite a bit before it actually makes it's way into your account, and is always at risk of charge backs. To me, 6 second transactions is like a temporary authorization, the money is there (just like in your bank account if you are charged for an item) but it can be revoked or is in risk of becoming revoked. With Ultracoin, 6 second transactions and 30-40 second confirmations, it is still much faster from the moment where you spend money to the moment you can use that money compared to Bitcoin and credit and debit processors. The 6 second transaction time does show up quickly, even though it doesn't account for a full confirmation, it can still be useful in a lot of circumstances to see that temporary authorization. If you believe I am misrepresenting the transaction speed, please correct me as I do not want to be spreading misinformation or information that can be taken as misleading. To me, the beauty of Ultracoin lays in Scrypt-ChaCha and the N-factor, but it is also a very fast coin either way.

Right, and bitcoin has third-party payment systems in place, so you can buy things over the internet at the speed of the internet (where does SIX seconds come from?) without necessary waiting for full confirmation. However, it is not a distinguishing factor of this coin at all. It is advertised in the topic of this thread, and you are handing out business cards that say that. Do you understand how it will be hard for people to take you seriously, especially when you are headlining a feature which is not unique whatsoever? I mean everyone at that conference will know what bitcoin is... it would be like me handing out a business card that says "proficient at reading and writing." IMO, it should be removed all-together. Also, 30 seconds is the confirmation time for one confirmation. One confirmation is pretty much meaningless--I suggest you read Satoshi's white paper. Confirmation time actually has other implications, such as in terms of mining, that make for strong arguments in favor of a 10 min confirmation time versus 30 seconds or less. Hope that makes sense.

The whole Crypto-world; Miners, Investors, Traders, Supporters and Media are watching UTC closely now !
Please don't have fights or stupid discussions here at this forum. It only harms UTC. Be smarter and think about UTC future.

There is no such thing as bad publicity! If Thiago and me fight to the death, or eat crap, It will still make UTC price go up. UTC has the perfect qualities to be to Scrypt coins, what Scrypt coins were to SHA-256 coins.Yes VertCoin was the first Scrypt-N coin, but UTC adopted it better, and added something new. And now that it is ever more energy efficient than X11, X13 etc. I see a bright future. The decision that the dev team took - to go PoW/PoS was a smart one! They listened to the community and decided against full PoS. (I personally trolled them a lot and they made the right decision) A good dev. team is one that listens to the community and is transparent to it. (thrust me on this one I've been mining longed than most dev. teams have been developing)
