So from what I can see, the current state is as follows:

0. Dev's new v3.1 wallet = NEW v3.1 fork
1. Chainz block explorer = NEW v3.1 fork
2. Bittrex.com exchange = OLD v3.0 fork (refusing to go to v3.1 fork)
3. Mintpal.com exchange = OLD v3.0 fork (did they even respond?)

We need Supercoindev to make an official statement and also tell us how how we can resolve this issue quickly.

i have not got any answer to my tickets and tweets yet.

there is still no updated exchanges at least they did not let me know yet.

So, what now?

Loosing coins?

At one fork coins are in the wallet, at other, at the exchanges. They are not lost, just in the other place.
So, now we are told that 3.1 is no go, and we will be robbed?

Who knows where the cold wind blows, maybe I'm gonna return one day.

Supercoin fork issue happened months before this. Devs resolved it very quickly with new wallets to fix the fork issues.
This time, devs also created a new v3.1 wallet, updated the github to 1.6 and tweeted everyone of the new update.
Mac wallet with the fork fix has also just been released. So you can clearly see the devs are working to fix it asap.

So no need to panic everyone. Your coins should be safe as it's always been.
But yeah, it is a bit annoying not being able to transfer around, trade etc. Sad

All,

After evaluating the situation, we will most likely not take the new fork of the coin and allow everyone to withdraw on the old fork.  We are waiting to hear from the other exchanges on their position.

We are basing our decision on the following:

* dev failed to notify any exchanges of an update
* the official block explorer was not updated leaving everyone in the dark
* dev provided no plan for aiding those impacted in recovering lost funds

As mentioned earlier, we are waiting to hear from the other exchanges to see where they are at.

Best solution here though is that the dev team make all the exchanges whole for this situation

Thanks
richie@bittrex

this is bullshit. exchanges are responsible for watching forks of the coins traded in the exchange. For example, when a fork happens, you will get tons messages complaining about missing deposits etc. You are responsible to check the thread and with dev team to see what happened.

apparently you missed it. Now you want find a scapegoat for your loss. Look at other exchanges. The fork is a common thing and I am sure it is not the first time you see it, but you missed it this time, that's all. Don't blame dev team. They are not responsible for your losses. Learn to watch the signs for a fork and react quickly next time (e.g. suspend the trades etc).

I was writing to them too , but they only sent me generic message, and now i should worry they would robe my coins?

at old fork - some of the troubled coins are in my wallet

wit new one, most of them are at bittrex and now they are saying that is not valid?

So what, robbery is valid? And now we should all chill out?

This is bullshit! Exchanges are also responsible, not amaters , right?

Who knows where the cold wind blows, maybe I'm gonna return one day.

All was sent to your bittrex wallet, so, it should be there.

Best regards,

No , no, see the date . They had time to respond. They just didn't.

And now I'm guilty? Dev is guilty? Devs didn't do perfect, but they are trying to resolve...

I didn't wrote full mail because of privacy, but at p.m i would printscreen it, no trouble at al...

Who knows where the cold wind blows, maybe I'm gonna return one day.

I didn't continue the conversation because i had jobs to do, and then all this came... but, I was 100% not the only one complaining in those days

At the time of your send, are you in fork chain? If you are, then your sends are not valid, thus you will not lose anything. But if you are in good chain and they are in fork chain, then in fork chain they will not see it, but once they fixed the issue and come back to the good chain, then your deposits should be there in that address.

I think the best way is for dev to publicly notify all of them via Twitter. (All exchanges)
Use multiple tweets if you have to. Tell them why and what they need to do etc.
They all check it I'm sure and it's best way to keep a record / resolve it publicly.

Did they sync from scratch? Or downloaded the blockchain? I synced from scratch, it stopped at block 428419 for two days.
